Dynamighty’s stylish espionage caper CounterSpy has finally had some more details announced, after things went rather quiet on the side-scrolling stealth game’s whereabouts.

CounterSpy is now also officially heading for Playstation 4, along with the previously announced PS3, PS Vita, Android, and iOS, as Sony’s big push to muscle in on the indie scene continues apace…

The super-stylised CounterSpy drops you slap bang into the middle of the Cold War; comfort food for any aspiring spy. The player will be tasked with trying to avert a full-blown nuclear war by sneaking into top-secret bases and labs, hacking terminals and taking out the dim-witted guards.

Not much more is given away just yet about how CounterSpy plays but it certainly looks the part. The minimalist cel-shaded artstyle is certainly eye catching and evocative of classic spy flicks. For now it’s the closest we can get to a No One Lives Forever sequel ever appearing, so we’ll take what we can get.

CounterSpy should be arriving this Summer for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Android and iOS.

Looking forward to it?

Hoping for a PC port of CounterSpy?
