Forgoing the opportunity to stretch out Lego: The Hobbit into two games (I’m looking at you, Lego: Indiana Jones 2), Warner Bros and Traveller’s Tales will reportedly be releasing the third film as DLC later this year.
The third feature film in The Hobbit trilogy, There and Back Again, will be out this Christmas, with Lego: The Hobbit featuring the additional content as possible paid-for DLC…
Lego: The Hobbit is arriving April 11 on pretty much every platform under the sun, containing levels and content from the first two The Hobbit movies - An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug.
The DLC news comes courtesy of Brick Fanatics, and if there’s ever a site I’d trust with Lego-based news, they must be it. Warner Bros are still keeping mum on the matter, aside from the ever-reliable "Definitely stay tuned for more exciting news in the near future."
Provided the content is still there in the main game then I don’t have an issue with this. Once they start dividing up their usually impressive rosters and have paid-for characters, then it becomes a problem for the series.
Would you be willing to part with your hard-earned money for some Lego: The Hobbit DLC?
Who here on GD’s got Lego burnout?
