What’s better than Goat Simulator? Double the Goat Simulator of course - double the tongues, double the glitches, double the cloven hoofs of doom.

The moment anyone gained control of their quadrupedally-challenged billy goat there was always one a singular utterance - I wish this was multiplayer. Well Caprinae fans, count your chickens because they’ve only gone and hatched, a multiplayer update is arriving for Goat Simulator, with a brand new map bringing up the rear…

The multiplayer will be splitscreen, allowing you to get your goat on with your fellow man, and will be smashing through your PC’s barn doors come mid-May in the 1.1 update.

Coffee Stain Studios has struck gold with a shovel made of shit, and so will be including the update free of charge for the loyal goat fans, along with the as-yet-mysterious new map. We know it should be roughly the same size as the already fairly expansive town map they’ve got going on at the moment.

"A lot of people have been asking for DLC with new maps for Goat Simulator, but we would feel bad charging people for DLC content when people can just download new stuff for free from the Steam Workshop, so we decided to do a free update instead," said Coffee Stain's Armin Ibrisagic.

Be sure to check out Game-Debate’s very own Goat Simulator benchmarks on the ever-reliable GeForce GTX 650 2GB.

We’ll also have a review up soon, hopefully I promise.

Itching for some split-screen goat action?

Hankering after a four-legged soulmate to hurl pedestrians off cranes with?

This is actually so awesome! I remember playing NFS: II SE with my brothers and cousins, and I can't forget the split screen fun on Army Men.. There were a lot of awesome games that this update has renewed in my mind again!

Split screen? I haven't seen that since the PS2 days. Can't wait to get my friends over to play this!

Split screen has been kivibg strong on newer consoles also, nice to see that some PC games support splitscreening, IMO it's the most fun way to play many games :D

Yes, I must be honest, I do remember again playing split-screen on PS3. But on PS2 it was way more fun, because you weren't forced to play Call of Duty split screen, and could actually play some fun games in split screen.

Like Burnout 2
