Complete List Of Nvidia Shield Compatible PC Games

Written by Katie Allen on Sun, Apr 13, 2014 1:00 PM

The Nvidia Shield is certainly an interesting device when it comes to versatility and compatibility. As well as being able to play Android games, it can also stream PC games to allow users to play PC titles remotely, or play the games on your HDTV without needing to connect your rig directly to your television.

One of the criticisms of Nvidia's curious handheld device when it launched last year was the relative paucity of PC games that were able to be streamed. With 13 new titles added to the GameStream library this week, however, it is a criticism that is becoming less true as time goes on. There are now over 100 PC titles available to play remotely on the Nvidia Shield...

In order for your PC to be able to stream these games to the Shield through Nvidia's GameStream suite, you'll need a fairly modern and quite powerful set-up to do so. System requirements for streaming to the Shield require that you have a Intel Core i3-2100 3.1GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.8GHz CPU minimum with 4GB of RAM and are running a recent Windows OS, either 7, 8 or 8.1. It also (predictably) requires an Nvidia GPU based either on the Kepler or Maxwell architecture: a GTX 650 card or higher.

If you prefer your gaming in laptop form, Nvidia is currently running a beta version of a software update which will allow streaming from Nvidia-powered notebooks to the Shield handheld device. To use this service, you will need a notebook running GeForce GTX 800M, GTX 700M, or select (Kepler-based) GTX 600M GPUs.

The following list gives (in alphabetical order) all games which have been certified as GameStream-Ready by Nvidia.

Yep, lots of games!
As for the device itself, it just doesn't do anything for me. The Vita (along with the PS4), however, is something that I'm definitely planning for in the near future :)
Good times ahead.

You can stream any game on the Shield. You just have to add it to Steam if it is not already on Steam.

All you need is a PCI-E 2.0 / 3.0 connection on your MB. If you have one then it's not a problem :)

Trine 2 a side-scroller action, not interested to be honest...
Borderlands 2 is another boring shooter game, although Cel Shader looks absolutely gorgeous, it is not enough to make the game that good overall...
Tomb Rider is more like interactive movie - fun to watch and play once for sure, but not more times...
Tom Clancy's Blacklist, modern stealth game with ridiculous plot and again violence and miserable story overall...
FarCry3 is just another shooter game with nice tropical island environment - yet not even trying to fully utilize the rich offers of such island...

There's like 60 known games on that list and you wrote that there just 5 good, it's sounds like you just hate 90% of the games that are exist.
