Watch Dogs Ultra System Requirements Released

System Requirements Optimum 1080p PC Build Low vs Ultra Screenshots GPU Performance Chart CPU List That Meet System Requirements GPU List That Meet System Requirements

We thought we’d had our fill of Watch Dogs system requirements over the last few months, but if you want Watch Dogs to look as good as that scintillating Nvidia video released last week, then you’re going to need quite a rig to hit those all important Ultra settings.

Creative director Jonathan Morin wrote the Watch Dogs ultra requirements on Twitter over the weekend, and you’d best get saving if you want the top-of-the-line gaming PC required…

The trailer released last week was recorded on a PC sporting an Intel i7-3930K and a GeForce GTX Titan, but you won’t quite need this much firepower under the hood to hit the Ultra Watch Dogs requirements. Oh no, you’ll merely be wanting a GeForce GTX 780 and an Intel Core i7-4770K. To pick up these parts up today would set you back a hefty $830 for these two components alone.

Be sure to check out the Watch Dogs Nvidia PC technologies trailer for yourself, it’s the first look yet of how Watch Dogs will actually look when it launches next month on May 27 worldwide.

Any GD’ers got a rig to run Watch Dogs on Ultra?

Cool I just noticed AMD has a beta driver for this game, Wow it's smooth now. I am so glad to see AMD finally making good drivers. Much better than their older drivers that caused artifacts with the R9 280's and many 7000 series cards LOL.

I spoke too soon! I should have checked other games before I posted this, But watch dogs plays perfect, But other games, with this driver are a mess, with light shinning on silver white chrome colors it artifacts just like with old drivers,

So I re-installed driver 14.4 (non beta) and all artifacts in all other games are gone. And watch dogs still ok, But C'mon AMD after 2 years it's time to finally fix the artifact problem with your driver code.

I would understand all the extra HP needed if the graphics on this game were better. But honestly GTA 4 looks better than this game. and also GTA 4 is 7800 GTX ERA, Whats going on here?

That is just so wrong! All this marketing BS to fool people into buying $800-$1000 of components just to run 1 stupid game from High to Ultra. Especially when there is no difference between High and Ultra on this game,And it's not even good

Tesselation is needed, depends on the number of curved surfaces, though.

Tesselation is needed only if modellers were lazy to make perfect mid-poly models with combination of properly mapped normal maps and bump maps :P

If the 780 requirement for 1080p is true, you have a problem with the 770 on 1440p :P

Just kiding, the requirement don't make sense

I was about to say "well, duh of course it's rated the same, a 770 is much better than an R9 270x!" But then noticed "crossfire". Just GD being weird I suppose.

I feel like multi-GPU solutions on GD should be rated with OPTIMAL performance because it gives users more perspective on performance they can EXPECT from AAA titles, averaging it just seems the wrong way to go, what with (realistically) few games optimally taking advantage of it.

Tzz, all this "AMD Crossfire is bad" is such bull****, I have played tones of games and they could not be any more buttery smooth than they are at ultra, I am Very Impressed to say the least, I was septic at first but it is clear, problematic CF is no more.

Yup the 9800+ FS score is pretty great(my 780 does 9300 for reference). The downside of 2x 270x is the Vram(bus), if games are memory intensive the 780 pulls ahead ;)

None of you guys get it... the video was running on a titan which has similar performance to a 780. So with the 780 and 4770k it means ultra settings with full aa and hbao+ because that's what they were showing off in the video......

I suppose everyone has their own idea of Ultra, personally i'd say Ultra is full AA, 1080, all settings max and 60 FPS others would say 30 FPS and no AA is ultra, it's down to personal opinion :)

I say it's what you said ultra full aa etc. In the video it said a titan and the 780 is similar to it, and the video had full aa on I guess and it would be 60 fps.

Guys, pardon me if I'm wrong, but what if they have such high settings because the graphics are just that good? What if it's not that they optimized it horribly, but that they've just put the graphics on as much steroids as they possibly could before it just finally ran out of room? To make an example,

say you have 2 drills. One has a low setting of 600 times per second, and a high setting of 6000 times per second. Now, this drill can use a 12 volt battery (lets just assume thats normal, I'm pulling numbers from my butt) at low settings, and 15 at high. Now, a new drill comes out with a low setting of 600, so it can

still use the 12 volt, but it's highest setting is 60,000, so it requires a 30 volt battery (lets just say those cost a lot). You would need more money to run that drill at the fastest it goes, but you can still run it on an ordinary 12 volt. you just need more for the fastest setting because it's THAT FAST.
