There's something about bombing around New York as Spidey that's instantly gratifying, and I think that's a large part of The Amazing Spider Man 2's appeal. This latest adventure for the webbed wonder comes featuring some all new web-swinging mechanics, so you can tear around Manhattan like never before.

To step into the shoes of Peter Parker though, you're going to need a rig capable of tearing apart The Amazing Spider Man 2. So to find out if your gaming PC's a superhero or supervillain, read on to check out The Amazing Spider Man 2 system requirements...

The Amazing Spider Man 2 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP 32-bit with Service Pack 3

CPU: 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 or 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+

RAM: 3GB System Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or AMD Radeon HD 4770

GPU RAM: 512MB VRAM

DX: DirectX 9.0

HDD: 9 GB Free Hard Drive Space

The Amazing Spider Man 2 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or 2.6 GHz AMD Athlon II X4 620

RAM: 4 GB System Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 or AMD Radeon HD 4850

Luckily for Spider Man fans, these Amazing Spider Man 2 requirements are nearly identical to those featured in the original The Amazing Spider Man. The minimum requirements for Spider Man 2 have taken an ever so slight jump upwards, asking for improved graphics cards. The Nvidia GeForce GT 220 and the Radeon HD 4650 won't quite cut it here, you're going to need an 8800GT or and HD 4770.

The rest of Spider Man 2's system requirements remain identical though, aside from an ever-so-slight raise in the recommended AMD card, from a Radeon HD 4830 up to an HD 4850. Everything else is the same, so if you could run The Amazing Spider Man well, then chances are you're going to be fine with The Amazing Spider Man 2's system requirements.

Remember, you can always check out how well your PC can run The Amazing Spider Man 2 Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users.

Compare your graphics card to The Amazing Spider Man 2 benchmark chart.

What do you think of these requirements?

Looking forward to a new Spidey adventure?

I can run AC IV maxed with a 780 Ti ABOVE 60. So... You're extremely wrong. Not to mention I can also ultra Watch_Dogs.

I also find it incredibly stupid for you to call it poor optimization with out even fact-checking, or playing the game. The lead development was for PC you idiot. "Hurr I can't MAX a demanding next gen game on a 4850! Such bad optimization"

Wait, so you downvoted my rep for being right? That is the exact opposite of what it's meant for. I never said anything bad, I just find it stupid how you say stuff that is complete bull**** and then act like you're right.

i gave you a +1 if it helps i only said that the requirements were through the roof and not everyone can afford 780 ti and the optimization of the game

You're right, they are through the roof BUT I think it's fair considering the eyecandy and how advanced the game is such as never the same npc or wind mapping, like that's super rad. I also agree not everyone can afford it and I'm sorry.

I'm willing to bet on good optimization because it would be extremely bad for Morin to just lie about it considering it's a new IP and he's a new dev. Either way, I'm hyped for it and I +1'd you as well. Also, buddied.

Gaming is a luxury hobby. you dont need it to survive with that said time more forward and so dose tech with the release of the next gen platforms it is only a matter of time before a older GPU will not cut it any more. Time to upgrade then

PS if you cant afford it... stick to the older games till you can and save a little cash each month till you can upgrade.
