Wolfenstein: The New Order's unique brand of Nazi-slaying dramatics is nearly upon us, but to take the fight back to The Third Reich you're going to need a PC capable of playing it. B.J. Blazkowicz's latest escapades are looking pretty stunning, running on a heavily modified version of the id Tech 5 engine used for Rage. It's the very same engine that's powering The Evil Within, Doom 4 and Dishonored 2, so it should give us an indicator of what's to come.

Therefore they are actually the Wolfenstein The New Order recommended system requirements]

The RAM and the GPU requirements can take a backseat for now. They're pretty reasonable requirements for a modern game and what we'd come to expect after seeing Watch Dogs and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

The real deal here is those insane processor requirements for Wolfenstein. Bethesda are claiming that you're going to be wanting an i7-930 as a minimum to play Wolfenstein: The New Order, or its six-core AMD equivalent, the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. These two beasts both rank a 9 on the GD hardware scale.

This is all topped off with a whopping 50GB hard drive requirement, nearly toppling the mighty Elder Scrolls Online off its disk space demanding throne. We look to be entering a change in system requirements over the next year or so as the development companies stretch their wings with the new console hardware abilities so this could well be the state of things to come. Bethesda cheerily say "If you’re PC matches these requirements, then you’re good to go!"

So here are the more likely looking
