Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition has been confirmed for an August 19th release date.
Packing the original game with its Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion pack, Diablo 3: Ultimate Edition was originally announced as a PS4 exclusive but will now be launching on PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360…
For those who have already been on a skullcrushing dungeon-stomping crusade in either the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of Diablo 3, your flaming warrior you sunk a year into will be transferable to the new title - Provided it’s PlayStation to PlayStation or Xbox to Xbox.
New to Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is an Apprentice mode that boosts lower-level players to match their higher-level friends, while the glut of improvements featured in the Reaper of Souls expansion will of course all be present and correct. That means the revamped Loot 2.0 system, the endlessly replayable Adventure Mode, an expanded Paragon progression system a and level cap boost up to a maximum of 70.
Those who snap up the $60 preorders will be able to grab an exclusive in-game item - the Infernal Pauldrons. These will be wearable from Level 1 and will grant bonuses to health, life regen and cooldown reductions.
Diablo 3 is still the fastest selling PC game of all time, and its Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion hasn’t done too shabbily either, shifting nearly 3 million copies in its first week.
