Sony used its E3 2014 footage last night to show off a new demo of Batman: Arkham Knight, which is currently being developed by Arkham veterans Rocksteady.

The new trailer shows off the Batmobile and some classic Arkham gameplay before cutting to some truly chilling footage of Scarecrow, arguably the most terrifying of the Batman villains...

Check out the full footage for yourself below.

The Batman: Arkham Knight trailer probably takes the prize so far for the most badass reveal trailer. Around the 4:00 mark the video’s audio starts glitching, seemingly in a classic E3 screw-up kind of manner. In the Sony theatre, however, the glitches then spread to the lighting, which flickered, before the audio feedback turned to bird calls, the screen cut to black, and Scarecrow was revealed. Amazingly innovative marketing, and the kind of “wow” moment that always makes E3 special for us.

What do you think to this new “glitchy” Batman video? Did it take you by surprise?

Iron man flies at supersonic speeds... I don't think Batman glides at Mach 2 mate... But yes it is indeed a bit much... According to MIT, that wing area is enough to slow his descent a bit but he would need times that Wing area to be able to glide safely...

It literally blew mind off, it was so awesome. Batman was never THIS cool in any of the Arkham games and that bat mobile, I can't wait drive it through the street at 100 miles/hr and tag and shoot stuff, solve enigma riddles etc etc....The fact is I am getting this game even it costs me 100000000000$
