Keen not to be lost amongst the sea of big titles announced and detailed at E3, Capcom has unveiled a new trailer for upcoming PS4 dungeon crawler Deep Down.

The game was absent from Sony’s Press briefing on Monday, probably because at present the title is only confirmed for a Japanese release, but the new footage seems to show the game is on track, complete with Dark Souls-esque aesthetic and monsters galore…

Deep Down is set in New York in 2094, and sees players travelling from their comfortable overground apartments into medieval, monster-filled dungeons that, if this trailer is anything to go by, seem to have an equally medieval penchant for kidnapping women and children. Classic dungeon fare ensues, with lots of fighting and magic and suchlike.

The title will be free-to-play, and is slated to enter beta in Japan imminently. We’re not sure if and when we’ll see a Western release, but we’d be surprised if we didn’t see it heading to PS4s across the rest of the world by 2015.

What do you think of this new Deep Down footage? Will you try this title out if it comes west?

Let us know what you think.
