Nintendo thought Mario had been hogging the limelight long enough at this year’s E3 digital conference, announcing a new Wii U title dedicated to that fun guy Toad.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker takes the treasure-hunting concept found in the Super Mario 3D World bonus levels and expands it into a whole new game. As per usual Nintendo has done it again, with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker looking absolutely stunning in this new trailer…

Where Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker sets itself apart from the rest of the Nintendo crowd is that Toad is unable to jump, relying on puzzle-solving to make his way through the rotatable levels.

In each level there’ll be three hidden diamonds to collect, as well as the main level star. It’s unknown whether it’s a full retail release or a small downloadable title, but we’ll sure to bring you the latest news as and when we hear it.

Captain Toad: Treasure Track is arriving this holiday season exclusively on Wii U.

Are there enough games to get you tempted to pick up a Wii U yet?

Will this gameplay be able to sustain itself for a full retail release?

I don't know if there's mushroom in the comments section below!
