Metal Gear Solid maestro Hideo Kojima got hands-on with the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V last week, and he’s come away claiming that the visuals are so mind blowing for an open-world game that he’s feeling depressed about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
So far we’ve only seen some tiny snippets of the next-gen GTA V remake in action, but we know from the comparison screens that it’s most definitely going to blow the previously released versions away…
Kojima said that the team at Kojima Productions are going for a very different sort of open-world than that seen in GTA 5, aiming instead for a larger-scale experience focusing on freestyle infiltration. Once he saw GTAV on next-gen though, he said “I got depressed. The quality that they showed was really impressive.”
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is looking like no slouch in the graphics departure either, so this must mean Rockstar are pulling out all the stops for the next-gen version of GTA5. If you haven't seen the last-gen and current-gen comparison screens then be sure to check them out here; the increased level of detail on offer is already staggering.
