Rockstar has announced that GTA Online’s Heists have been delayed yet again, with no release date known as of yet.

The online Heists were originally planned to launch in Spring 2014, but Rockstar has apologised, admitting that the heists are taking more time to create than the team had originally expected…

"We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding, and support," Rockstar said in a statement.

The online heist mode has been hugely anticipated since Grand Theft Auto V’s launch, and while it’s still fairly unclear exactly how they'll work, in the single-player mode it involved selecting a crew and planning a heist and the getaway. Competition's heating up in the bank robbery scene though, with the Payday series reaching new heights and Visceral getting involved with Battlefield Hardline.

The cynic in me assumes the heist update will roll out alongside the next-gen and PC versions of GTA 5 in Autumn, giving gamers who've already picked up a last-gen copy a bit more impetus to hop in to the new remastered version.

What are you hoping for from GTA Online’s Heist mode? Does the online in GTA V even interest you? Blow the bloody doors off the comments section below!

And all the actual players, like I said already, are going to bash Rockstar even though they received tons of free content throughout the year. Kids never learn.

Well, maybe Rockstar shouldn´t prioritize on the PC and next-gen versions before finishing the actual game. That´s the reason they didn´t make it before their deadline.
Rockstar is pretty much just doing whatever that will increase their profit and in this case, work on the PC and next-gen version.

They missed one feature, but delivered tons of free content (they weren't forced to do so). If they didn't bring "Heist" yet, it's maybe because they have troubles with it? I'd like to remind you all that it's Rockstar's first try in this whole GTAO. Also, so it is better to exclude other fans (on PC and "next gen") more than a year just for one game's feature? Nah, I don't really think so.

By free content you mean new vehicles and cloth? Wow.. Sure, that will keep us entertaint for how long? It´s already been delayed for months and now they can´t even set a date. Yes, it´s better to finnish a current game before starting over on another platform.

People have a right to be frustrated, by the time it actually releases, were looking at the game already being out for a year

everyone has the right to be as he wants! but as a gamer I prefer to wait for the best rather than have something that will make me angry when playing :)

By the sounds of it, its most likely ready now but they want to use it to push people to buy the next gen versions

might that be as well but I really doubt it as they know that its going to be the first in sails! I just think they don't want to make the same mistake as ubi made last couple of years :)

They've been making mistakes with gta V since it released, chances are it will run heists terribly on previous consoles so people have to buy for next gen

GTA Online was always kind of an add on to the main game. Sort of a free MMO. So they did deliver on the things they promised on release date.

That's what i thought too, but now i have used four times more time in online than in singleplayer, it's just so much more fun to do everything GTA offers with friends :)

But we both know that heists with actual humans will be a train wreck. Like it is in Payday XD
