343 Industries are refusing to rule out the possibility of Halo returning to PC once more, hinting that while the Xbox One version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a priority, a PC version may still be on the cards later down the line.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection comes packing the four mainline Halo games released so far, all with increased visual fidelity and including all of the original multiplayer components, meaning gamers will be getting their hands on more than 100 online maps when it arrives on Xbox One…

343 industries head honcho Bonnie Ross in a recent interview that "right now we are focused on Xbox One”, but the Halo franchise and PC obviously have a history together. Halo 1 and Halo 2 have previously arrived on PC, while only a few months ago the twin stick shooter Halo: Spartan Assault arrived on Steam.

When quizzed Ross said “we've been on PC before. We're listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One."

Halo: The Master Chief Collection combines Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4 will all of their multiplayer modes and all of their DLC into one huge package. All of the games have received a graphical overhaul for the Xbox One release, which also ships with access to the Halo 5: Guardians beta.

PC gamers, are you missing the Halo franchise on your beloved beige boxes? Is it about time Master Chief made another visit? As always, let us know!

As a fan of Halo CE and Halo 2 on the PC, I would gladly pay $70+ for each game if they ported it to the PC. I mean, Seriously! The games are SO good! who's with me on this? If they want to make money, port it back to it's roots: GIVE IT BACK TO THE PC!

I'm with ya... This is how Halo is developed basically:

  1. Develop game on high end workstation PC

  2. Port it to xbox

  3. Don't port it back to PC
I hope they come to their senses and bring Halo back to PC damn it...

I would love to see Halo games on PC again. But if they do this, we MUST have Halo: Reach. It's the best Halo game ever made, in my humble opinion.

I just bought that game for Xbox not to long ago. It was decent, campaign was very boring half way through. Didn't try the multiplayer (I ain't paying for a subscription, screw that xD). Getting quite tired of multiplayer games though :/.

Halo CE and Halo 2 for PC were actually well optimized... The only issue with Halo 2 was the DRM cancer which made honest gamers get migraines while those who downloaded pirated copies happily played on their cracked copies without having to bother about signing in to live and even ported it to Windows XP...

I really, really wish developers would stop pussy-footing around with PC releases. Either release it for PC or don't. It's getting pretty tiresome. That being said, Halo is one of my favorite franchises ever, I really hope it comes to PC.

You should see some Open Sauce mods for Halo Custom Edition... Go to Halo Maps and try spv3 with Open Sauce... Graphics look as good a MW3... Yes, a game engine developed in 1999-2000 has been pushed to deliver graphics on par with a 2011 game using a 2006-07 engine...

That's the crude truth. They are just throwing a bone to PC gamers.

Read carefully people, they never said it was going to happen, they just didn't deny it.

Halo games are not designed with a mouse and keyboard in mind. I might care for a Halo game if they think about that fact, because I doubt a game like Halo would be balanced with the precision of a mouse.

You can always use a controller but that's like a lot of modern games now that are cross platform but I'm sure it will be great with mouse and keyboard, it is a shooter after all.

I don't really want to use a controller and it's not like I wouldn't like to use m/kb, but the time to kill with most guns in Halo is ridiculously low with them. It's just not balanced for precision aiming.

I have played Halo CE and Halo 2 on PC and I can tell you, that is not true. They play much better with kb and mouse, and the kill time is very long, compare it to Counter Strike or BF where it takes less than 3 bullets to kill, in Halo 15b

I grew up with halo please 343 it's been too long bring it back to us, you won't regret it! Maybe someone should start a petition or something so they know it will be popular on PC, which it will!
