Rainbow Six: Siege was without a doubt one of the best surprises during E3 this year, and ever since seeing that all-too-brief gameplay demo we’ve been clamouring for more of Ubisoft’s tactical squad-based shooter.

Our prayers have finally been answered though, as Ubisoft has a released a 24-minute gameplay trailer showcasing 6 entire matches of tense rescue in a quiet Boston suburb…

This extended look at Rainbow Six: Siege provides our best look yet at the tactics at play when the Rogue Spear team take on Raven Shield in the fully-destructible family home. During the opening minute of each match we get an inside look at each team’s preparations, as the defending terrorists place traps, move the hostage, and prepare for attack. Meanwhile the attacking counter-terrorists can spend their time wisely sending in drones to scout the area out, before voting on a primary entry point to the building.

C4 charges explode, walls are breached, and dynamic smoke effects lend a feeling that Rainbow Six: Siege might just be the most accurate simulation of hostage rescue yet. Enough talking, check it out for yourself below…
