One of Assassin’s Creed Unity’s level design directors has revealed at this year’s San Diego Comic Con event that Unity will be three times larger than Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The level designer, known only as Nick, claimed that doing all of the content in Assassin’s Creed Unity will take more than 100 hours, while Paris itself is far larger than any environment ever seen in the series...

In terms of actual gameplay length, just the main campaign is about 15-20 hours,” said Nick, “and then we have tons and tons of side content so that’s more than a hundred hours of actual gameplay.

Of course that’s including a straight run-through of the side-quests and content, additional time can also be spent on the multiplayer co-op component, which can be replayed in order to try it in different ways.

Also, [Paris] is the biggest city we’ve ever made in Assassin’s Creed,” continued Nick. “It’s a least three times bigger than the whole of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s landmass.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is out on October 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Is bigger better for Assassin's Creed Unity? Or will the sheer size of Paris prove too overwhelming for would-be assassins? Get on down to the comments below and let us know!

I always bought the Assasin Creed's for the great storyline. Which to be honest died after Revelations. Now there is basically no links between the main characters, Desmond side of the story with him running away from a real threat is gone.

it'll be worth for console gamer, not for us, PC gamer :x

That's pretty impressive. Black Flag's world was pretty big or at least seemed big. Just please make an optimized game this time around. If this one is poorly optimized like 3 and 4 were, then I'm just calling it quits on the AC series.

Well, three times bigger? If they pull it right, it will be nice. Thing is, the more overwhelming the atmosphere around you, the longer the time you spend playing the game which is really nice. But if the world is that big, they need to have really LOTS of different activities and not repetitive ones. A 100-hour gameplay is something I am not to spend doing the same thing :)

Wow ppl still crying and going on abt Watch dogs...Seriously the game was badly optimised but there is no need to make assumptions that Unity will be the same guess u guys only see the negative huh?

If it were just Watch Dogs, that would be one thing. Go play AC 3&4. Both of those games are terribly optimized. Ubi is either incompetent when it comes to PC or just lazy. Either one is enough for people to be upset about.

i didn't notice ac 3 and 4 being badly optimized i max them and fps never dropped unlike in watch dogs

I would like it if 80 hours of non-story gameplay isn't going to be 80 hours of getting collectibles for no impactful reward like it is in the other AC games.

I have witnessed that (atleast) in games that really makes sense i take Witcher 2 over skyrim anyday. But in the end its personal preference in both ways :D.

I personally would enjoy having more game time in Unity. As long as the stuff doesn't become repetitive, I'm good.

hmmm 100 hours to complete 100% where have a heard this before? Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the campaign isn't even 15-20 hours.

Ubisoft are notorious for over estimating the time it takes to complete stuff in their games. it's like on the Far Cry 3 lost expeditions missions. they say it's 30 minutes of extra gameplay when each mission takes 5 mins to get through.

30 minutes if you suck at the game, but anyway, FC3 was big enough IMO, bigger than BF4

I am pretty sure watch dogs can be completed in 4-5h i didn't feel like game was long someone who is good at fps can do it in that time.

Far cry 3 story was fun to play ( despite the lame plot) but when you were done with the game, it just felt like the world was so vast to explore yet there wasn't anything to do, especially if you take all outpost, no more bad dudes to kill
