Activision has released that latest trailer for Sledgehammer Games’ solo debut, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, taking a sneak peek at the game’s globe-spanning single-player campaign mode, in which many of the world's leading countries have been the victims of numerous damaging terror attacks.

A slightly dead-behind-the-eyes Kevin Spacey is the star of the show here, taking on the role of Jeremy Irons. Owner of a private military company dubbed Atlas, Irons is granted a huge amount of power following a global terrorist attack, and power, Activision assures, changes everything…

It feels like we've come a long way from crawling through the cold streets of Moscow in Call of Duty, with this impressive new trailer showcasing an explosive near-future world wide war in which new gadgets, tech and weaponry are the order of the day.

Irons claims that Atlas have been granted the power to take military action without the backing of the US Congress, and have the largest standing army in the world sets the scene for a bombastic globe-trotting military affair.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is out on November 4th worldwide on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
