Codemasters has announced the latest entry in its long-running racing series, F1 2014, and it’s coming to PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 only later this year, with a follow-up title arriving early 2015 in preparation for the new season.
F1 2014 of course coincides with some of the most ground-breaking changes to have happened in Formula 1 history, introducing the new aerodynamic regulations and the turbocharge power units. This new battery cell transforms braking energy into electric energy and offers around 10x the performance of KERS for these 200 mph speed-machines…
The latest outing for F1 2014 will of course feature all of the authentic car and driver rosters, as well as a few news circuits to nip around. The changes to the rules this season means the cars you’ve come to know and love from the previous seasons will now handle radically different.
"This is the year it all changes – for the sport and for the game," explained Stephen Hood, creative director for the F1 series at Codemasters. "There's been a dramatic shift in the sport; the largest shake up in the rules and regulations for a very long time and the new power units provide a very different kind of challenge, for both driver and team. By delivering all of these changes, F1 2014 will make for an exciting and refreshingly different experience.”
F1 2014 will be out on October 17th for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which is actually near the end of the 2014 season, finishing on November 23rd. My money’s on Jackie Stewart. That’s not all though, with Codemasters also announcing an F1 2015 release early next year in time for the start of the 2015 season, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
