Crytek has confirmed that its gladiatorial action-adventure Ryse: Son of Rome will be stepping into the PC arena this coming Autumn, published by Deep Silver.

The previously Xbox One-exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome will be coming over with support for 4K resolution and packing all of the DLC released for the Xbox One version since its launch in November 2013.

The full round-up of DLC includes the Colosseum Pack, the Dual of Fates Pack, the Mars’ Chosen Pack, and the Morituri Pack, as well as access to the Legionnaire’s Trust sword and the Ruins multiplayer map which was included with special editions.

"4K gaming is another leap in graphics quality for PC gamers and Ryse is the perfect showcase for what's now possible in high-end PC games," Crytek business development chief Carl Jones said.

"We've given our team the opportunity to show what CryEngine can really achieve, without compromising quality, thanks to the incredible hardware available now to PC gamers. Ryse will be a benchmark PC graphics showcase this year and probably for a long time in future. Our community asked for a Ryse PC version, and we have the means and technology to deliver this title with the highest quality possible."

Ryse: Son of Rome is still to this day the best-looking Xbox One title, combining some absolutely stunning environments with its bloodthirsty combat. There's no word on the Ryse: Son of Rome system requirements for PC just yet, but we'll be sure to bring you them as soon as hear. Judging from gameplay footage we would expect the PC version of Ryse to have pretty demanding system requirements, although it remains to be seen how scalable Crytek makes its visuals.

Deep Silver will be publishing Ryse: Son of Rome later this year on PC. Are you excited to pick up this glorious looking Roman adventure? How demanding do you think Crytek's showpiece will be? Enter the gladiatorial arena below and let us know!

Definitely "Must Have" for me. I just love ancient Rome games especially if it has a good story. And it is cryEngine, so PC gamers love it

Oh and i tested the game on my friends Xbone, gfx wernt that impressive for me idk why (notably some low res textures, low rez no AA and poping polys everywhere...) even crysis2 looked better

i hope there will be some tweaking for the PC version

I'm sure there will be some tweaks made here and there as the XBone isn't the most powerful console out there. :| They've already said that it would have 4K support, so that gives me hope that it will have upgraded graphics.

Not that it was THAT horrible to begin with.

Infamous is made by a Sony first party dev. The chances of that game coming to PC are as good as The Last of Us and Uncharted coming to PC.

Not 100% sure but I think Crytek had to gimp the game's visuals on the XBOX because it couldn't handle what Crytek were aiming for. Hopefully I can run this game on max settings as it looks like an interesting game.

This is great! I have been wanting to try this game out since the first teaser. I wouldn't buy an Xbox One just for this game though. I am very happy to see it coming to PC.

Just like I thought. So with this game out of the way, does the xbox one have ANY AAA games that are actual exclusives and not TIMED exclusives?

Forza and Halo, and probably new Gears will be announced soon. Not very long list.

I don't care what people say, this game is amazing. sure, the gamne is basically just fighting, but the fighting never gets old. That's hard to say the same for games like AC which are basically, climb, fight watch cutscene.

Anyone remember this game back when it was teased as being an on-rails kinect sword fighting game?

Yup, I've seen it happen too. They claim it's exclusive then a year later BAM! PC release. It's happened with almost ALL of the big titles, even GTA V is coming over to PC... So... Yea...

Guess they can't ignore the PC after all. :P Not trying to start a PC vs Console war here, just saying that PC is important too.

Its all about money for M$ (and crytek specially since they have financial problems) they might even bring Gears of War and Halo to PC again just so they can GRAB extra $$$$ and with new architecture with these new consoles that are similar to PCs its quick and easy work... ok Sony its your turn now show PC your "generosity" with one of your exclusives :P

Yea... Not happening from Sony as they aren't greedy idiots. (at least not to the point of selling one or more of their exclusives to PC or other platforms. The exclusives are what draw people to the system the most, not the third-party stuff.

Hopefully this trend of late PC releases will continue. Or better yet, no more console exclusives!

Now that Crytek is in trouble, the PC is good enough for Ryse? Screw them! I won't spend one penny on this game.
