DICE is rolling out yet another update to Battlefield 4 in September, bringing with it a whole host of weapon balances, vehicle nerfing and game mode changes.

Five of Battlefield 4’s game modes will be getting changes to improve them, including Rush, Obliteration, Obliteration Competitive, Capture the Flag, and Carrier Assault, while soldier movement and netcode will all be getting a revamp in what could be one of the biggest updates yet.

Along with these tweaks there will be changes to the recoil, so close to medium range weapons won’t be affected by the movement of it any more, while soldier movement is being altered to match Battlefield 3's animation, making it easier to escape while being shot at. The HUD is also getting cleaned up, and DICE is adding options to remove several of the visuals entirely to declutter your display.

Medics will be getting some loving in September as well, with improved revive mechanics making it easier to use the defibrillator paddles and a new ‘fully charged’ paddle sound so you know when you’re ready to get healing.

Finally the netcode improvements, as DICE continually looks to improve performance. Changes behind the scenes will negate some ping differences, reducing the frequency of kills behind cover and kill trading, whereby two combatants kill each other at the same time.

All of these changes should be rolling out throughout September, although the specifics of some changes remain clear. Game mode changes, and weapon and vehicle balancing are still closely guarded secrets, but we should find out when the update goes live next month. What do you think of these changes? Let us know!

I agree with everything the patch is going to have, but the "Visual Recoil". If they remove it, like in CTE, the experience of shooting with a gun will be ruined and will be just unrealistic

Almost an year after it's release and they are still fixing it. Talk about a rushed product.

Pretty much every single multiplayer game out there is getting patches that contain fixes. Is CS:GO rushed? Is Dota 2 rushed?
I can agree that BF4 was rushed (even DICE said that) and that it has problems but COME ON! You just decided to bitch about it because it's popular. What you said is very short-sighted (because - look at my first sentence) and ignorant. Stop

BF3 had its almost every bug fixed in 2 months, BF4 is out for almost a year and still... umm... just play the game.

That is simply not true. I came back to BF3 right before BF4 (a few weeks, no more than a month) and experienced waaaay more bugs than when I played it on day 1 (actually, even during beta...). Stuff like disappearing buggies that you continue to drive into the ground, for example.

At least EA is fixing it. Where as Ubisoft is launching DLCs for Watchdogs which is just crap!!!! They are not even thinking about trying to fix it :(
I just hope that Far Cry 4 will be nicely optimized.

Still no CTE for non-premium though.

You can't because they want all the weapons and maps to be tested which non-premium members don't have. EA doesn't want people to try the DLC weapons and maps for non-premium.

That's stupid. Of course we can't try weapons nor maps (well, why don't they at least unlock the weapons for us?). Also, there's other MAJOR changes that EVERYONE could try: they changed how scopes works, new icons for medics etc etc..
