Ultra Street Fighter IV is here, offering five new characters and a range of tweaks and upgrades based on user feedback, plus a range of new modes. Capcom released the title this week, so we checked out the game's system requirements to see how they measured up.
The series has been a generally pretty undemanding one on PC, and with this newest iteration arriving on last-gen consoles too, we expected the system requirements for Ultra Street Fighter to stay pretty low. We've taken a look at both minimum and recommended settings to see what kind of rig you'll need to get this title running.
Ultra Street Fighter IV Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows Vista
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or better
- RAM: 1 GB RAM
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 6600/ Radeon HD 3400 serie
- HD: 12 GB
- DX: 9
Ultra Street Fighter IV Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7/ 8
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 GHz or better
- RAM: 2 GB RAM
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600/ Radeon HD 2900 GT
- HD: 12 GB
- DX: 9
As expected, we haven't seen a particularly big hike since the original Street Fighter IV requirements, although CPU requirements have moved from single-core to dual core for minimum and from dual to quad recommended. Beyond that, however, there's not much to tax a relatively modern system, with modest GPU requirements that even weaker machines should be able to play on lower settings. RAM requirements remain low too, with only 1GB required.
As a competitive esport with a substantial worldwide following, it's in Capcom's interest to keep the Street Fighter series as ubiquitous as possible, and it looks with these requirements like they're carrying on that tradition.
