Frogwares has released a new trailer for its upcoming investigative adventure game Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments.

The trailer shows off the mechanics of the game’s interrogation scenes, demonstrating how the decisions you take and the clues you pick up during a conversation or cross examination can open up new paths in your investigation.

During interrogation, you will be able to interrupt the speaker in order to bring up evidence or clues that support the idea that the interrogated is lying or avoiding the truth. Doing this successfully will surprise and confuse the witness, who may then reveal more information about the case. You can witness Sherlock’s examination of a guard at the Roman Baths in the clip below, which shows the man crumble under the pressure of Holmes’ expert deduction.

Crimes and Punishments is coming to PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 from 30th September this year. The game will contain six unique cases with five suspects in each, with your job being to select the correct perpetrator. If you fail, you could end up convicting an innocent party. Will you be getting Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments when it launches at the end of next month? Let us know what you think of the look of this game by leaving a comment.

The graphics are indeed very good, but the facial animations are a bit stiff showing very little in terms of emotional distress. On the other hand the voice acting seems to be excellent, it will serve as a better way to deliver emotions and mood swings in the people questioned by Sherlock.

Wow, looks really solid. Graphics are astonishing and the interrogation process works like a charm! Now hope there is a big plot twist at the end, and this game is perfect.
