The Xbox One's undeniable graphical showcase back at launch, Ryse: Son of Rome is heading to PC and promising to look better than ever. We know that lot at Crytek are capable of creating some of the best looking games of all time, and Ryse: Son of Rome looks to be no different. Crytek promise Ryse will push PC hardware to its absolute limits, as players don their warrior garb and set foot in the bloody drama of Ancient Rome.
Leveraging the power of the CryEngine and the latest high-end PC gaming technology, players will step foot into intense gladiatorial arenas and travel the world in a cinematic campaign against the bloodthirsty barbarian hordes. Don't be too hasty to grab your sword and head into battle though, because you'll need a PC capable of playing Crytek's latest graphical wonder, so read on to check out the official Ryse: Son of Rome system requirements.
Ryse: Son Of Rome Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows Vista 64-bit SP1
- CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6300 2.8 GHz or Athlon II X2 260 3.2 GHz
- RAM: 4GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 1024MB Graphics Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 430 or AMD Radeon HD 4650
- DX: DirectX 11
- HDD: 26 GB Free Hard Drive Space
- Audio: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
Ryse: Son Of Rome Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Quad Core i5-2500S 2.7 GHz or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core 3.1 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 4 GB Graphics Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 or AMD Radeon HD 7990
The minimum Ryse: Son of Rome system requirements aren't too shabby themselves, you'll need a moderately recent PC sporting a 2.8 GHz dual-core processor and a DirectX 11-powered card with at least 1GB of VRAM. That's not to forget the pretty hefty 4GB of RAM for Ryse and a hefty 26GB hard drive space. We know that Crytek's engine is extremely scalable, so we would think Ryse will be pretty playable with a rig like this. Don't expect all the graphical bells and whistles seen in the trailers and screenshots though.
The minimum requirements are just to get Ryse: Son of Rome up and running though, and if you want to see CryTek's latest beauty looking its absolute best then you're going to have to meet some absolutely mammoth recommended requirements. Putting aside the hefty processors and 8GB of system memory for the moment, it's the demand for 4GB of VRAM that will prove the biggest test. The first baseline cards released by Nvidia with 4GB graphics memory are the high-end GeForce GTX 690 or Radeon HD 7990 graphics cards. If you can find them new these cards will still set you back around $500-600+. Most high end games nowadays are demanding 8GB of RAM on recommended and Ryse is no different, while the Intel quad-core and AMD octa-core are still relatively high-end processors.
Run Ryse: Son of Rome On Recommended Settings With A SLI or CrossFire Setup
We know from the Game Debate database that very few PC gamers own GPUs with 4GB of VRAM, so the best option for most is an SLI or CrossFire setup. We think you will be able to hit the Ryse: Son of Rome recommended requirements with a pair of lower-end graphics cards totalling 4GB of graphics memory. We don't know Ryse: Son of Rome's optimisation for SLI or CrossFire set ups yet, but these requirements look to be a great match. Ryse: Son of Rome on dual card systems potentially opens it up to a lot more gamers, particularly with the price of cards with 4GB VRAM or more. We do think these demands are a little high though, and depending on your resolution you're sure to be able to get away with less. Crytek has made a lot of noise about the 4K support, but provided you're gaming at 1080p you should be able to get away with a lot more.
Remember, you can always check out how well your PC can run the Ryse: Son of Rome System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Ryse: Son of Rome GPU benchmark chart. What do you make of the absolutely huge Ryse: Son of Rome recommended requirements? Do you think the final game will need graphics cards as demanding as this to look its best? Let us know!

PC Specs

PC Specs
regarding to the minimum system req my rig is 45-50% better.can i play this game on medium at 30fps?
PC Specs
actually the minium requirements have been updated and got a lot higher. the current requirement for minimum is gtx 560 which is quite stronger than 740M but i think they are exaggerating a bit so you may have a chance at low.
PC Specs
Hey guys... Can i max it with my GTX 780?
PC Specs
on 720p yes
PC Specs
Yes I believe you can for sure on 1080p but probably not on 4K. It would need to be on high or tweaked ultra no aa.
PC Specs
prabably requirements are right :) GTX 690 for recommendet it's most likely true, crysis 3 running max with MSAA X8 on 1080p WITH gtx 690 WITH 50-60FPS depending on area , this game based on cryengine :) so developers can push their engine to the max , so probably Ryse son of rome for maximum settings with masyve antialiasing like MSAA X8 ant target fps 60 needs GTX 690, for max without AA probably GTX 670/680 , It's cryengine people demanding engine!
PC Specs
well i hope it is not true...
PC Specs
bro you need upgrade your gpu! every year games became more and more demanding!
PC Specs
i know,tnx :)
PC Specs
they're just trying to hype the xbox one cant you all see that?, watch dogs did the same thing "i7 recommended " lmfao with an r7 you can play it
PC Specs
Watchdogs had i7-3770 and FX-8320 in recommended and the bloody thing did not even use all cores... It did not even use all cores on an i5 leave alone hyperthreading on i3 and i7... It can actually be playable maxed out on a rig with i3-2120 and GTX 760...
PC Specs

PC Specs

PC Specs

PC Specs
will see how this specs r true soon...ps.to the comm. below u cant get god fps on a 4k monitor with gtx 770 sli no matter how much vram.
PC Specs
The biggest misinformation here is this GPU's. 4GB vram ? really ? and what ? they do not now that gtx 690 has 2x2GB ? in SLI/CF vram does not add up so go home whoever invent those reqs
PC Specs
what settings for me ?
PC Specs
medium settings 720p no aa
PC Specs
i think you will be able to get playable fps at 1080p tweaked medium at least.
PC Specs
Recommended a 7990? yeah like the XBone has the equivalent to a 7990, this smells like a bad port to me either that or poor optimization . . . . hell maybe both :(
PC Specs
7990 and GTX690 are suggested by the author of this article, they are not in the official requirements,i'm pretty sure a GTX 760 can max this game at 1080p.
PC Specs
Although it says official requirements above I am not sure they are, steam only recommends a GPU with 2GB memory not 4 like listed here, they also recommend a six core CPU.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/302510/
PC Specs
I bet it still plays fine on a 2GB Vram GPU.
PC Specs
I dont think its gonna be a badly optimised game. Minimum requirements are way too low than the recommended ones and crytek have optimised games quite well be4
PC Specs
In the official requirements they didn't specify what kind of CPU or GPU! : minimum intel Dual-Core 2.8 GHz/ AMD Dual-Core 3.2 GHz or better and DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB video RAM, and the Recommended : Intel Quad-Core or AMD Octo-Core and DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB video RAM.
PC Specs
"GPU RAM: 4 GB Graphics Memory
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 or AMD Radeon HD 7990"
GO HOME CRYTEK... you are drunk >_>
PC Specs
such a shame mate....that game can run on the XBone's gimped 7770 and then the PC "port" wants us to have a $1000 gpu for recommended
