Disney has finally release its back catalogue of games on Steam. 21 games from Mickey and his pals have been added to the digital distributors library, which includes a couple of pretty entertaining titles, some of which come from studios that have since been shut down.

Highlights include Split/Second, the high octane arcade racer originally released in 2010. This action packed game combined the feeling of ridiculous speed with unexpected and imaginative abilities such as triggering helicopters to drop bombs on opponents and buildings collapsing. Reminiscent of the Burnout series at its peak with its high-octane style, although there's a far more volatile environment to have to navigate. Fans of the Lego franchise will be happy with the Pirates of the Caribbean installment included at long last; though not the strongest in the series, they always provide a bit of light-hearted fun.

The rest of the list consists largely of film tie-ins, so if you’re in the mood to re-live some of the magic of Tangled, Brave and Alice in Wonderland then this is your chance!

Despite quality games being perhaps a bit sparse in the release so far, this does give some hope that some classic LucasArts adventure titles like Full Throttle, Sam and Max Hit the Road and Grim Fandango could find their way onto Steam at some point in the future.

The release coincides with a 10% off sale for all Disney titles, and an additional 10% saving for anyone who opts for the £75.59 Disney Mega Pack which offers a total of 14 titles.

Too average games for me... Not that fun, and mostly feel unpolished.

You know it's gonna be bad when Split Second is listed as a highlight. It's pretty much a definition of mediocre racing game. Pure was a fun game tho', especially for quadbike lovers.

In my opinion, games that are released on steam after their retail release should have the retail release date shown in the steam store.
