Game of Thrones has swept across the world during the past 12 months, finding its way into every entertainment medium. It began as a very successful book series, A Song Of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.
This is the second game to be made from this series. The first was a RTS with an intrigue twist, called A Game Of Thrones: Genesis. We reviewed it last year. The twist didnt work. This one is just called Game Of Thrones, a 3rd person action rpg set around the beginning of the first book. Lets take a look at the Game of Thrones RPG system requirements...
The story of A Game of Thrones takes place during the first book of the saga, at the time when Jon Arryn, the Hand of King Robert Baratheon, is found dead at King's Landing. The game allows players to follow two epic quests: Mors and Alester's quests. Their totally original story was canonized by George R.R. Martin himself and perfectly integrates the original story the fans are so familiar with in the series.
There will also be a Game Of Thrones MMO.

if only it was RTS and not RPG.
i feel like RTS is left out lately while RPG and FPS gets all the focus. good thing C&c generals 2 is coming soon:)

I'm not really into RTS, I can't seem to immerse myself in the story through RTS (but thats just me. I respect other's preferences) so I'm glad GoT is having its RPG genre. I just hope they have the series' actors to do their own voiceovers.
Next up, Game of Thrones FPS with Bows and arrows.. Lol

lol:) the idea of an fps with bows and swords is fantastic but the combat technique doesnt translate well into the first person view. its a shame im a big fan of the show and the story is just great but RPG's are just not my cup of tea.

The Mount & Blade style combat would be perfect for this. I've read the book series and I think they have a lot in common (minus the dragons and magical themes). Elder Scrolls has a lot in common in that respect.
