The wait might be getting nigh-on unbearable but CD Projekt RED has at least flung us a bone, releasing the opening cinematic cut-scene from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As you'd expect Geralt's return looks to be a moody experience and everything about Wild Hunt seems to be shaping up to be bigger and better than its predecessors.

He's on the trail of his long-lost love, the powerful sorceress Yennefer, in this latest trailer, piecing together the battlefield clues near the Temerian kingdom's capital of Vizima. One thing's for sure, if you've ever wondered what a weaponised crow looks like boring through a man's entire skull then this is certainly the cinematic for you.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out on 24th February 2015 worldwide for PC, PlayStation and Xbox One. What do you make of this latest trailer? Are we set for a darker, more intense experience for The Witcher this time around?
