When you think of Batman games it's all too easy to overlook Traveller's Tales hugely successful Lego Batman series, but the blockbusting side business for the caped crusader is coming up to its third iteration, and it's looking like the ultimate tribute to DC fans far and wide. Not so much a Batman game any more but a Justice League spinoff, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has the Dark Knight and more than 150 unique characters from the DC universe battling together to stop Brainiac from destroying Earth.

Naturally this involves blasting off into space, so Batman, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern and friends must travel to different planets across the universe in an attempt to stop Brainiac from shrinking them down for his collection. As you do. To find out whether your gaming PC's going to deliver a beatdown or get smashed to pieces though, read on to check out the official Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham system requirements.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows XP 32-bit Service Pack 3
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.0GHz
  • RAM: 2GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 256MB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS or AMD Radeon X1950 Pro
  • HDD: 10GB Free Hard Drive Space
  • DX: DirectX 10

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows XP 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 970 3.50GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 1024MB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 or AMD Radeon HD 5850 1GB
  • DX: DirectX 11

As you probably expected, the Lego Batman 3 system requirements are pretty low, in fact almost identical to the Lego: the Hobbit system requirements from earlier this year. The minimum requirements for Beyond Gotham really shouldn't cause too many people any problems whatsoever, the demands by now are practically ancient in gaming hardware terms. Graphics cards like the GeForce 7600 GS and the AMD Radeon X1950 Pro are basically nearly a decade old now, so Lego Batman 3 should be a game almost everyone can get up and running.

The recommended requirements for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham are identical to The Hobbit, except for the processor demands taking a leap. Despite showing their age now, both the Core i5-750 and the Phenom II X4 970 aRE pretty decent CPUs but you're only going to need to worry about that if you want to max out all of the settings. On the graphics card side you're going to need a fairly modest card, and despite the demands for a GTX 480 we expect you'd be fine with the likes of a GTX 650 for getting great performance out of Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

Remember, you can always check out how well your PC can run the Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham benchmark chart

OK three things:

  1. DX 10 minimum...? But those GPUs are Pixel Shader 3.0 which means this game supports DX9...

  2. LoL at those recommended requirements... They are comparable to Metro 2033 optimum system requirements hahaha... Just like CoD MW3, CS: GO, Dishonored; this game will be maxed out on 1920x1080 with butter smooth fps on Pentium E5700 or Athlon II X2 250 plus GTS 250 or HD 4770 easily with only 3 GB RAM...

  3. DX10 and DX11 advised but with Windows XP...? What...?
