We’ve known for some time now that Mass Effect 4 is being worked on, but BioWare has been suitably tight-lipped about the whole affair. This weekend saw the N7 Day Round table, where a panel discussion took place on what the future may hold in store for Mass Effect.

During the panel BioWare revealed a whole load of Mass Effect 4 concept art, teasing what could be just around the corner for the much-loved sci-fi RPG series. A number of alien planets are shown in the pieces of concept art, as well as some impressive looking monolithic space vessels.

N7 Day has become an annual event where all things Mass Effect are celebrated for 24 hours. There’s no clear direction for the title yet and how, or if, it will tie into the events of the previous trilogy, but on the basis of this spectacular art we should be in for a treat.

What do you think of these new concept screens then? How are you hoping Mass Effect 4 relates to the events of the previous trilogy? Let us know!

As someone who's only started with the Mass Effect franchise recently, I can say I'm honestly quite excited about this :D

I really like the concept of The Citadel. It appears to be better in rendering and details than in ME3.

I really can't wait for ME4, really big fan of the series i just hope that they don't disappoint this time with the story in general.

The second from last one (with the upside down pyramids) if you zoom in you can see what appears to be robo walkers, kinda resembling the atlas. Also will speculate that those pyramids are either of Geth or Prothen design.

I hope Mass Effect 4 takes place 30 years after Mass Effect 3. That will give the galaxy time to recover from the horrible endings in Mass Effect 3. Talk about being screwed, I don't want to deal with the aftermath of that mess!

I don't mind dealing with the mess of ME1-3, but what I really don't want is a prequel, freaking hate prequels. Not just because of Star Wars, but in general, I just don't like the Idea of prequels, or a different perspective, IE same timeline but with a new protagonist.

I'm so excited for this game. Mass Effect 2 is still one of my favorite games. ME is probably one of the best series ever made imo.

Can't agree more... Finished the WHOLE series 3 times with all the DLCs. Greatest experience of my life...

I'll just kick back here, waiting for the inevitable flood of comments from people still uber butthurt over ME3 and how it destroyed the entire face of the gaming industry until the next coming of the reapers.....

If the game is going to be a sequel of sorts, then they should do something like DA:Keep.

I am a huge Mass Effect fan, but sadly I will not buy Mass Effect 4 just like I didn't buy Mass Effect 3. This is because these are Origin only releases.
Dear PC gamers, If you want to stop Origin, you have to stop buying EA's games. If you like it or not.

Origin isnt bad. I mean, everything works fine and they give some decent games away too from time to time. It is EA that we hate but even when EA games come on steam, the games wont get much different.

I agree, Origin is much better than it used to be when it first came out, and since then they have been giving away free games, first of which was BF3. Definitely better than Uplay, can't stand Uplay.

No arguments here... Steam > Origin >> Uplay... That about sums it up...

It would be interesting if someone made a game with concept art graphics.

I meant if it was in 3d. Also Child of Light doesn't have that concept art style, it looks more like a children's book :)

They better have that waterfall in-game too or I swear to God I'll be so disappointed I could package my disappointment and sell it in little bottles.

Good thing that the game isn't made by Ubisoft, because then the requirements would have been "STUNNING" too!

If this game was made by Ubi and assuming a release period of late 2015, then system requirements would have been GTX 770 or R9 290 minimum with recommended being GTX 980 or R9 390X...

Too low for a Ubisoft game bro. Especially considering Late Next Year. It would require a GTX 980 as minimum and a Titan SLI setup as recommended.

I may have a lot of thumbs down about this but i'll say it: Even if Ubisoft is not making this game EA games are boring (for me). The EA games i play for 20-30hours then i stop playing them.. it's like EA games are not for me.

Even so Ubisoft games which i played are very good and always finished them. The EA for me its right now bad. But Mass Effect 3 beta when i tried the multiplayer i really like it. I might give a try for this one if its a open beta.

To be completely honest, I kind of agree with you. Last year, EA was like, ty games with ty optimization. I liked the Ubisoft games of last year but they had crappy optimization (AC4, Watch Dogs). All Ubisoft have to do is treat PC gamers fair. Optimize their games and their sales would be brilliant.
