TellTale games, the guys behind the highly successful episodic adaptation of The Walking Dead, have got their hands on another massive franchise, A Game Of Thrones. The first episode will be along even sooner than we thought, December 2014. A few weeks is all we have to wait before we can march beyond the wall or if you are like me, get drunk on wine and eat wild boar, while upsetting the status quo throughout the kingdom with my lies and naughtiness.

As this is the next episodic series from TellTale Games, we can expect pretty reasonable PC system requirements for A Game Of Thrones episode 1: Iron From Ice, as they will be using their usual graphics game engine. Lets take a look then at what the PC Game of Thrones System Requirements will look like to get it to run your computer.

A Game Of Thrones Iron From Ice Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: 3 GB of system memory needed
  • GPU VRAM: 512 MB graphics card memory
  • HD: 3 GB hard drive space required
  • DX: 9 Direct X
  • Input: Mouse and Keyboard

So pretty easy going Game Of Thrones Iron From Ice system requirements, compared to the recent barrage PC gamers have been experiencing. A Game Of Thrones by TellTale will be a six part series, where they usually release one episode every 4-8 weeks. Often they allow you to buy the episodes one at a time or you can pay a cheaper one time payment for the complete series. This one time payment is usually around the price of $30 or £22.

To get you even more in the mood, here is a teaser trailer from TellTales Game Of Thrones Episodic morally challenging action adventure.

Its not about how you reply at the first comment, its about the rest...you are so smug that you can play game on high quality setting while he cant...you actually can be more supportive instead laughing at him yet you choose to be rude

3 GB RAM requirements may still be hype... Dishonored had a 3 GB RAM minimum requirements but I ran it on a Pentium D 3 GHz, GeForce 210, 2 GB RAM...

me personally think your cpu would be just fine for such game - 4 threads and temporary turbo boost helps a lot;
integrated gfx will be the bottlenecking part anyway :)

Yeah the i3-3240 recommended does not make sense considering the weaker i3-2100 can max out Metro 2033 paired with a GTX 560 ti and HD 6950 - we're talking Metro 2033 and this game is at Dishonored level... Even a Core 2 Quad or Phenom Quad would be overkill CPU-wise for this game...

Let us not de-allocate the memory we allocated to variables during game programming and then put a high amount of RAM. What has PC gaming come to?
