Quantic Dreams' cult-classic adventure title Indigo Prophecy looks set for a return this week in a remastered form if a newly cropped up Amazon listing is anything to go by. The listing arrives just days after a teaser site appeared at achillingfeeling.com, indicating more was to come from the series in just a matter of days.
Indigo Prophecy, or Fahrenheit as it’s known outside North America, is an adventure game from Quantic Dream, the same team that brought us Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. It was one of the first titles to popularise 3D cinematic adventures and featured branching dialogue with multiple endings, and it looks like we’re going to be getting the most definitive version yet later this week.
Listed as arriving on Amazon and Steam on January 29th at 12pm PST, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is set to be fully remastered with updated HD visuals and will, for the first time ever, be fully uncut. Indigo Prophecy courted controversy when it originally landed in North America, becoming one of the few titles to be handed an Adults Only rating for explicit content.
It’s a narrative-heavy adventure with paranormal themes synonymous with much of Quantic Dreams and producer David Cage’s work, and sees the player become embroiled in a violent series of murders hitting New York.
