Naughty Dog's slow drip, drip of information on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is akin to water torture. Sure we were treated to a bit of gameplay back at PlayStation Experience, but any further details as to what the adventure will entail have been depressingly scarce.

We know Nate's back in some lush locales for his jaunt, traipsing through a rather sweaty looking jungle, but judging from the game's title all's not going to end well for the tomb raider. To help ease the waiting woes though there's a batch of gorgeous new screenshots depicting Nathan Drake leaping, gallivanting, and looking generally a bit miffed with his brother.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End should be later this year, fingers crossed, exclusively on PlayStation 4. Do you think Naughty Dog can match the heady heights of the previous titles? Or has Nate's tale finally run its course?

From gameplay... The last one is from real-time cutscene.

All the footage seen about Uncharted 4 runs real time at 1080p 40+ FPS on a PS4. The demo ran at 40FPS but locked at 30fps because they can be stutters from dropped frames. The initial reveal trailer that some people thought was CGI actually runs real time on a PS4, and Naughty Dog claimed at 1080p60fps. That footage is most likely cutscene in game, or possibly hardware target render using engine.

That moment when random people with expensive PCs "faster than a PS4" realize that Uncharted 4 looks better than practically 99% game in existence barring Star Citizen and a couple others.

Also, it will be running at 1080p and at least 30FPS locked, maybe even 60fps but unlikely, if Naughty Dog can pull it off. If any developer can pull off 1080p60fps on a PS4 with this quality, it's them.

Also bear in mind a lot of the ICE team that work for Sony are basically Naughty Dog.

Yep, ICE team (Initiative for a Common Engine) consist of a small group of devs working at Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog decided on some of the specs of the PS4 and so they practically know the hardware inside out seeing as it's also x86-based.

A lot of people seem to have doubts about the PS4's potential when they mention crap companies like Ubisoft and EA.

Unless somebody buys out Naughty Dog for millions of dollars, Naughty Dog will remain as Sony's golden first party developer like they have been for the past 10+ years.
