Tropico 5 developer Haemimont Games has revealed its next title, and it’s only the second title in the studio’s history to not be a real-time strategy game. Victor Vran is an action-RPG that attempts to distinguish itself from the crowd with what Haemimont believes is a gaming-changing mechanic - jumping.

It might seem small, but the ability to jump combined with a broad range of equipment and special moves apparently drastically changes how combat plays out. "It all started with a simple idea," said Haemimont founder and CEO Gabriel Dobrev, "let's put the 'action' back in the action-RPG genre."

While Victor might be the main man, Victor Vran will allow full customisation of the main character to create a personal version of Victor. Players will be able to pick from an array of lethal weapons, gameplay-altering outfits, demonic powers, and fate cards.

Victor Vran will be hitting Steam Early Access fairly soon, ahead of a full launch this summer on PC. Other platforms are set to be announced in the summer. Does a jump button help Victor Vran stand out from the rest?
