When Project CARS arrives in April it’s going to offer an absolute ton of stuff for gearheads to mess around with, including online racing, community events, and of course, an in-depth career mode. It’s here where a lot of players are going to be spending most of their time, and it’s been detailed extensively in the latest Project CARS trailer.

The Career mode looks to take influence from some older racers like TOCA Race Driver, treating you as an athlete looking to become a success, signing for different teams and attempting to claw up the rankings. In Project CARS you’ll be able to choose whether you start at the bottom rung or jump in straight at the top, with a number of dynamic goals rewarding you for trying different playstyles.

These goals include things like ‘Zero to Hero’, where you start as a Tier 8 driver and racer your way all the way up to Tier 1, or ‘Defending Champ’, where you must hold onto your Championship for three consecutive years. Rather than being forced down a specific route you can chop and change where your career is going, and scouts will be on the lookout for you, giving you offers to join their team.

It’s all looking pretty neat, with Project CARS have an almost role-playing lite element as you keep track of social networks and sports news. It appears as if there’s hundreds of things to be getting on with, ranging from historic goals to accolades and endorsements.

Project CARS was delayed earlier this week, pushed back from its original March 17th release date to a new April 2nd launch worldwide. It’ll be starting its engines on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U (eventually).

I don't think you need worry about it driving like NFS, they look to be taking the sim stuff very seriously. Loving the look of the career mode, makes it practically endless.

yeah it sounds well thought. and yeah thank god for that. i like it when racing games require more delicate controls, skill and experience like that (with difficulty levels that can server everybody of course).

he just said that he would want remakes of NFS games with graphics that are as great as in PCARS He didn't say anything like there should be formulas or race tracks in them.
