Triumph Studios is celebrating exactly one year since the arrival of turn-based 4X strategy title Age of Wonders III with the announcement of its second expansion pack - Eternal Lords. Eternal Lords is the second full-scale add-on to Age of Wonders 3 after last year’s Golden Realms.
The downloadable expansion pack adds two new races to the mix along with a new Necromancer class. The Necromancer player class in Eternal Lords is tasked with unifying the world's dead, capable of creating huge undead armies and summoning Banshees and Ghouls to toil away under their dominion.
Joining the Necromantic antics are the Keeper, Grey Guard and Shadow Born leader specialisations, allowing players of all classes to align with one of Good, Neutrality, and Evil respectively.
If new races are more your thing then you’ll be sorted with the Frostlings and Tigrans. Frostlings are unsurprisingly ice-based, lead by the Ice Queens and attacking south from the frozen north. Just don’t try and take them out on their own icy turf. Tigrans meanwhile are feline-based humanoids who live in the desert and worship the sun. Hopefully you can get them a squeaky ball or scratching post to distract them while you rampage over their lands.
Age of Wonders 3: Eternal Lords will be available on April 14th, priced at £19.99/$19.99. Will you be getting your 4X on with this latest expansion?
