And fps is smooth, but had to turn down AA and crap like this because I got weird fps drops mostly in combat

i cant parry their attack and they tend to surround you and put you in the middle
how do i use the crossbow i cant find the key to use it!

tried this but it selects the yeden.. stuff

First press tab then select crossbow from that menu.
But crossbow is only useful for monsters which fly like griffin or cockratice or harpies

I'm pretty sure his CPU is more than enough for this game. With my OC'ed i5-750 I get the same FPS of newer CPUs. This game is more demanding on the GPU.

this game is using my caard like an 290x, crossfire is not available yet
so for now we have the same gpu
i am having 60fps with the setings i stated before
and his cpu is good enough i dont see a bottleneck

I get 60 FPS pretty consistently with HairWorks completely off and everything else set to ultra. I have foliage distance set to medium, though; haven't tried any higher, but I might. I have all post FX on, as well, and HBAO+. I'm still in the intro area, though, so I'll see how things are in some of the cities. I'm still waiting on AMD to release the next beta, too. I don't think my CPU is bottlenecking, either. I have it slightly OC'd, but my GPU is not OC'd.

I think Watch_Dogs' performance suffered somewhat with my CPU, since hyperthreading would have helped with all of the NPC information in that game, although, we all know the story of Watch_Dogs' optimization by now… Still, for games with lots of NPC attributes like that, I'm sure an i7 would have helped, maybe a few extra FPS. I'm hoping this CPU lasts at least another year or so before I have to upgrade again.

WD high setting full HD i am getting 45 50 fps

Not as bad as AMD, but still kills the FPS. Hard to keep it above 60 FPS with HairWorks on. I find it very perceptive on TW3 when the FPS goes below 60.

To me it's better to keep the FPS on 60+ than having a beaultiful hair dragging your FPS to 40's and even 30's, depending how close the camera is to Geralt.

To each their own, but the game is playing perfectly fine for me locked at 30 FPS with all settings maxed except Foliage Visibility Range on High. 60 FPS isn't needed for a third person game in order to play smoothly. 60+ FPS is really only needed in first person games & fighting games. I have tweaked setting to get 60+ FPS once & the game play was no better @ 60 than @ 30.

I see. I have tried to play it locked on 30 fps, but it hurts my eyes.
