The Witcher 3's an absolutely massive experience, but for all its spelunking and griffin-slaying antics, it's a simple game of cards which has proven most enticing for many. Gwent, the sport of fantastical kings, is a collectible card game playable throughout The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's world, pitting one v one in a tactical game of planning and strategy.

Of course playing Gwent is one thing, but trying to track down those 199 Gwent cards spread out across its vast world is another matter entirely. To help bring a little bit of order to proceedings, we're going to be bringing you maps with the locations of each and every Gwent card, so you can comb over the world and make sure you haven't missed a bit.

First things first, a nice and easy one - the starting area of White Orchard. All the Gwent cards are located in a single place here, but this is likely the first place everybody will play Gwent, and it's certainly helpful to beat the tutorial fella to get a new card and to learn the ropes. Following the Prologue, when the Innkeeper leaves, the cards you could have previously bought or won from her will now be available from the merchant just outside, the one you saved from the Griffin attack right at the beginning.

Why has CDPR started this Gwent walkthrough now?
I am almost near the end of the game and i have 7-8 hero cards in all decks.

Pretty sure I have all of these cards but still will double check, really wish they'd turn this into an app with multiplayer though.

Thank you very much for this!
Also this is a work in progress, but it helps a lot:

Does anyone do the Gwent thing at all? I just pass up playing it. Is there some sort of experience that you get or a reward?

Why the bloody hell not? You lose out on 4500 crowns, that's it. 4500 crowns you can easily earn just selling swords and armor found while exploring.

Sasha will steal some of your cards. Therefore, you can't collect all gwent cards and will be missing the Card Collector achievement.

Gwent, races and visiting question marks gives a lot of xp for level up which is needed in skellige,at least if you are playing or 3rd or 4th level of difficulty.I dont know about the level 1 and 2 difficulty, heard on that level your health regens while meditating.

Yes,this is the trick i used in both velen and novigrad,I spent 3 whole days only visiting question marks, these question marks are the reason i got so high level, also im playing on the 3rd difficulty level out of 4.

Have you done all the Novigrad quests as well I take it? Level 30's really high, have you still got the level 16 story quest to do?

Yes,u can reach upto max 20-22 lvl maybe more or less.As for my situation i obtained my level through an unfair means(Some people say that),xp bug :).but have to say, going to skellige at such level really helps a lot!Just type infinite xp level up glitch....btw just heard it still works in 1.05,but i stopped using it,kinda Op.
