Aha, this is something we’d like to see a lot more of! After the insanely good PC performance of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which could run on an overclocked calculator, Konami and Kojima Productions have put out an open call for feature requests for MGS 5: The Phantom Pain from the PC gaming community.
Kojima Productions community manager Robert Peeler put out the call, asking for all the graphic features, options and settings for the open-world adventure, with the clear intent of providing a hopefully solid PC port.
“In a little over two months time we’ll have a PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, something we’ve been working on, but while we’ve been doing our best, and reading what feedback you’ve given thus far…let’s do our best to funnel it all into this thread,” Peeler wrote over on the game’s Steam discussion.
“Tell us please, so that we can convey it to the development team hard at work on the PC version, what FEATURES and OPTIONS you want for the PC version of MGSV:TPP. No guarantees they'll all make it in, but this game is made for you, the fans of Metal Gear, who want an amazing experience on your home computer--so help us get you there.”
So far there’s been an overwhelming response, with more than 700 comments. PC gamers are making sure they get their voices heard loud and clear, asking for wide-ranging options such a FOV settings, uncapped FPS, Depth of Field, Screen Filtering, ultra-widescreen support, and even VR. You name it, the PC community has asked for it.
Hopefully Kojima Productions manages to take as much of it on board as possible and deliver a great PC port, something which can’t be said of a few recent AAA releases - naming no names. Outwardly it looks great, but we’ll have to get our hands on the game in September to see where this feedback has really been applied. I know the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arriving a fortnight after the console is an annoyance, but it does demonstrate the intention of ensuring a working title on PC at launch, and making it the best version out there.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom pain is out on September 1st for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, before arriving on Windows PC on September 15th.

After playing GZ I think this game will be very well optimized. I heard GZ can take advantage of more than 8 cores. Even during the day the frame rate held up well. This will probably be the most optimized PC game this year.

I wish more games came with brightness and contrast settings. You can make the game look twice as good just by altering those two things.

Batman problems?

Looks like the disaster with the BAK PC port making them having to take it out from sale has opened the eyes of all the developers. Metal Gear Rising had such little graphic options.

And yet, Metal Gear Rising was an excellent PC port with little to no bugs...

Most probably a game with no need of patches/fixes...

How awesome wold it be to customise Snake's gear aswell as Mother Base? Not overboard really. Snake is the ideal weapon or a perfect idea of a weapon. The man has an eye patch. He has tastes aswell.

different types of AA, HBAO+ and all the effects not combined but being separate options please :) I have no doubt MGSVTPP will be optimized just as good as GZ, Kojima Productions FTW!

These kind of devs really do care about their fans. I love this kind of people seriously.
