Update: We've contacted Warner Bros and it reiterated that Mad Max "will be released on 1st September, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. PC will be available via digital only in the UK."
We’re just shy of a month away from Mad Max careening onto store shelves with his souped up Magnum Opus, but The Mole’s been hearing a few whispers this might not be the case for PC gamers. He’s had his ear to the ground and there’s been one or two murmurings that all is not going exactly to plan for the PC release of Warner Bros' and Avalanche Studios' open-world action game.
The spectre of the Batman: Arkham Knight PC release is likely still hanging heavy over Warner Bros, who still haven’t reinstated the game on the Steam store six weeks later. By all accounts the console version is on time, and there’s even a brand new trailer, but The Mole’s sources indicate PC gamers will have a longer wait. Having a poke around, there’s plenty of evidence to back up his claims too…
Right now we’re just four weeks away from Mad Max, but the game still isn’t up on the Steam store. Avalanche’s other game, Just Cause 3, which isn’t out until December 1st, has been up for months already. A quick glance at Amazon reveals just the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Mad Max up for pre-order. Likewise Gamestop. Things get even more illuminating if you pop over to Game UK. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are given release dates of September 1st, while the PC edition is just ‘TBC 2015’.
At the moment all of these claims are unsubstantiated, with no official word from either of Avalanche or WB Games on the matter. The Mole seems pretty confident on this one, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out. We’ll endeavour to contact Warner Bros to see if there’s any truth from The Mole’s sources.
For now, wrap your eyes around a new trailer to see what the fuss is all about.
Warner Bros reckon Mad Max is out on September 1st worldwide, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Well saw it coming haha ^_^ But yes delay it and don't push it out please as they pushed B:AK out and did terrible things to the world of PC Gaming :D Delay it until 2016 but do a job how it needs to be done please!
PC Specs
If they are going to delay it , then delay the PS4 and the xbone as well and then realease all together, its unfair to delay only the pc version.
PC Specs
are tryiTheyavoid trying incident with poor optimization i hope
Oh and gd your mobile work does not.
Only writes bbroken ssentences
PC Specs
Well if it's delayed to make sure it works properly then that's fine. It'd be kind of a good thing too, with MGS V having it's PC release date moved forward to Sep 1st I probably wouldn't have been playing Mad Max that day anyway :p
PC Specs
Better delayed than broken! I prefet the devs take their time and make a good PC release rathar than another unplayable game!
PC Specs
I agree mate! but hope if they delay with a short time not like gta v almost 2 years
PC Specs
What two years? It wasn't planned of first when it hit the PS3 and Xb360 to be a direct PC port, first after the Next Gen Consoles, and this was from November 2014 to April 2015. Isn't almost a half year :) 5 months
PC Specs
Good! Another possibly broken PC port BUT this time its being delayed instead of being released broken. I would rather they delay this game instead of releasing it unplayable. We don't need anymore disappointments.
PC Specs
Just like GTA V. Delayed is OK when the final product is great. Although 1 year+ is a bit much.
PC Specs
don't do that pleaaaaaaaaaas :'(
PC Specs
So, you would rather have a broken game. Then, a delayed game.
and maybe fix the problems?
PC Specs
no but i don't want them to behave like rockstar :D
PC Specs
At least R*'s last game worked at launch.
