Ubisoft has begun opening up about the story details of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, revealing Crawford Starrick in the new story trailer. He’s the head of the Templar order and all-round bad chap, and he’s got seven deadly henchmen scattered throughout London, ready to do his bidding. From this info I can confidently tell you there will be a total of eight assassination target missions.
It’s almost fascinating watching the predictability with which Ubisoft s hoehorns in the good versus evil, assassins versus templar, poor versus rich template. This time the streets of London are controlled by wealthy bankers, dangerous scientists and lethal crime lords. It’s up to Jacob and Evie Frye to rise up from these streets and take London back for the common man.
So there we have it, it’s the same story in a different place and time. Hurrah! I still want to play it though…
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is out on October 23rd for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before arriving a month later on November 19th for PC. Hopefully that final month can be used for a bit of a fine-tuning, or at least to ensure character models have faces.
