It’s just about the most subdued launch in Assassin’s Creed history so you might not be aware, but Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is out tomorrow. Yep, it’s less than 24 hours away on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Suffice to say it seems as if the trouble surrounding last year’s AC Unity has had a knock-on effect this year, so it’s all going to boil down to just how good this Victorian slice ‘n’ dicer is.

To get us all prepped for shoving jellied eels in our gobs and complaining about the gov’nor, Ubisoft has punted out a series of launch trailers for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, covering twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye, and another dubbed London’s Calling. Someone needs to let Ubisoft know these trailers are getting out of hand now.

Jacob & Evie Frye Launch Trailers

London’s Calling Trailer

It’s called the London Calling trailer because, you know, it’s set in London, which makes it the perfect fodder for a 1970’s angsty punk soundtrack, albeit mellowed out to the point you feel as if you’re in a dingy Whitechapel warehouse circa 2015.

I did use to like it when Assassin’s Creed had a new ‘thing’ each outing, but that's been abandoned entirely. To me this appears a slightly uglier, London-bound reskin of Assassin’s Creed Unity, likely in an effort to keep the pesky performance stable. That said there seems to be whole big stack of fun to be had in Syndicate, so it's probably a little churlish to complain.

We’re waiting on a PC copy from Ubisoft so our review’s going to be a little way off for now, but early reviews coming in from the PlayStation 4 version show a mixed response. There’s scoring ranging from as low as 4 all the way up to 9, with the general consensus being this is more of the same. If you're not tired of the formula yet then this could well be the game for you.

If you’re holding out for that PC version, it’s arriving on November 19th.

These trailers are made by the marketing divison from Ubisoft, not by the divisions that are making the game. Understand that Ubisoft is a big company with a lot of employees.

If the PC version is as good as they tout it to be, I'm in.
Always wanted a London AC, but after their last two games I'm a little apprehensive of this series. Combat still looks a little repetitive.

My only problem with this game is the combat, IMO it is god awful, too quick, looks clunky and the time to kill is much longer than any other AC game.

The reviews are promising. 9/10 on GameSpot, 4/5 on GamesRadar & 8.5/10 on Polygon.
There's also a hidden playable WW 1 setting with protagonist's granddaughter.
Looks like I'm losing another 60$ next month.
Waiting on GD's review :)

Reviews from others are only their opinion, I would suggest trying it yourself, just to see if you like! you can no longer rely on others reviews about games.

IGN have been hot and cold this year, again. Mad Max and Dying Light were spot on, but MGSV is not a 10, and Arkham Knight is not a 9.2.
Their score for AC Syndicate seems to be in the range of a game that's actually quite enjoyable. ;)

For me, MGSV was definitely a 10. The AI just blew my mind.

There have been plenty of games that got bad scores from others, and I enjoyed them when others didn't. if you like a game enjoy it, that it.

Don't ever trust those reviews. They're paid.
