SEGA has announced Total War: Warhammer will be coming to PC on April 28th, 2016. That’s a lot sooner than we were expecting, with Creative Assembly themselves estimating later in the year. That means we can begin quaffing mead from our Dwarfen drinking horn in just six months’ time, kicking off an epic summer of total warfare.

In addition Creative Assembly also announced the Chaos race are set to invade Total War: Warhammer, but there is a bit of a catch - they’re only available as DLC. Luckily, anyone who pre-orders Total War: Warhammer will get the Chaos Warriors Race Pack bundled in free of charge. While they haven’t announced any specifics, it will also presumably be available to buy separately for those who don’t pre-order.

Everything comes with a collector’s edition these days and Total War: Warhammer is no different. In fact, it’s got two. The Limited Edition comes with the game in an embossed metal case, plus an insider's guide book, while the rare High King Edition comes with an absurd collection of goodies for any would-be warmonger. In addition to the kit above, you get a whetstone pendant and grudge ring to adorn yourself with, a High King’s art book, the aforementioned Dwarfen drinking horn, and a canvas campaign map so you feel like a proper badass as you lay waste to the Warhammer world. No word on a price just yet.

Total War: Warhammer, the first in a trilogy of Warhammer-themed games set to come from the folks at Creative Assembly, is launching worldwide on April 28th, 2016.
