As I think everyone knows by now, Star Wars lives and dies by the strange alien worlds it takes us to. Naboo? Get out of my face. Coruscant? Boring. Tatooine. Endor. Now we’re talking. Out of all the planets featured in the movies, DICE has had to narrow Star Wars Battlefront down to just four. Which seems a bit measly if you ask me, but which ones have made the cut?

Eagle-eyed Battlefront fans will knows it’s Endor, Hoth, Tatooine and Sullust. The first three are pretty familiar to us all already, with the wooded Endor from Return of the Jedi, the snowbound Hoth featured in the demo, and the scorched desert of Tatooine with its twin suns. Lastly there’s Sullust, a magma strewn oddity that DICE has thrown into the mix. In the new Planets Experience that EA has rolled out you can explore all of these maps, as well as find out plenty of information on what vehicles and weapons you’re going to be able to grab.

There’s a lot of info on offer here if you have a poke around, and it’s a damn sight more entertaining than reading a drab list of bullet points in a press release. That and every time I see the Millennium Falcon in action my jaw drops.

You can have a poke around Star Wars Battlefront’s Planet Explorer over here, which should help pass a few minutes as we count down to its November 17th launch.

Nice presentation but that is about it... Spend millions on marketing and presentation, make a small amount of maps, remove features from previous games and charge money for them or for emotes. Modern gaming....just like modern art....

"Planet Explorer" = cinematic video with neat camera angles to make maps seem giant. Don't forget the pauses where we can open info boxes about things in video. Oh, except the sensor bot, no one gets to know what he does.

Does each world have multiple maps or just one big one? They cannot seriously ask 60$ for this game if that is the case.

just one per location, and forget about "big" ones ^^

That might of been the last straw. Way too many features removed and not enough added.

Don't worry. There will be plenty of DLCs for 40 euros that add 2 maps each.

Star Wars: Battlefront will feature huge, 40-person multiplayer matches across 12 maps, with more to be available post-release. { DigitalSpy.com } also we get a free DLC on december of 8 aka The battle of Jakku
