Sound the driver klaxon, Nvidia has pushed out yet another GeForce Game Ready driver, this time to coincide with the PC launch of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and the Overwatch beta. The GeForce 359.00 WHQL drivers provide Game Ready optimisations for both of these titles, which should ensure the best possible performance.

It goes without saying really, but if you’re planning on playing either of these two games soon, then it’s going to be worth grabbing these drivers. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate in particular is sure to benefit from Nvidia’s tweaks, being yet another game littered with exclusive Nvidia GameWorks features and effects.

These GameWorks features include Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TXAA), Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion + (HBAO+), and Percentage-Closer Soft Shadows (PCSS. You can see these features in plenty of detail via the video below.

Along with the Game Ready optimisations, the driver update adds support GameWorks VR 1.0, Nvidia’s own SDK targeted at VR developers and designed to allow them to boost in-game performance and reduce headset latency.

As usual you can grab the GeForce 359.00 driver update manually from Nvidia’s driver page, or you can update automatically through GeForce Experience. Be warned with the latter however, that Nvidia has already rolled out the account system. Meaning you now need to be logged in with your Nvidia account to download drivers through GeForce Experience.
