Black Friday 2K15 - Share Your Gaming Bargains

Written by Mridul on Fri, Nov 27, 2015 1:30 PM

It's that time of the year again, where we all celebrate how great shops are, or something to that effect. It's Black Friday. It's huge in America, usually involving scenes of total carnage and devastation, and now the rest of us are following in our American compadre's footsteps and bringing the shopping chaos worldwide.

Keeping track of all these deals is pretty much an impossible task. Flash deals, daily discounts and limited stock make it a full time job to hunt for the best bargains. Nowadays it feels as if practically every shop in existence is running a Black Friday sale of some sort, both online and in brick and mortar stores. Here we've gathered up some of today's gaming bargains, but the more important part is everyone at GD can share any of the amazing deals we see in one spot. So without further ado...

Pretty much everything is on sale on Steam right now. I had to hide my wallet from myself so I wouldn't buy every game I've ever wanted for a total of $100.

Nice article, thanks for getting us links to all the deals in one place. :D Btw, does anyone know how trustworthy "instant gaming" is? That Fallout 4 deal looks really tasty, but I'm not sure if I wanna risk having trouble with my card and/or my Steam account. Has anyone here bought from them before?

After some research, I found out that they make you send photo ID to them after you paid for the product - only then do they give you the code. That seems really shady to me...

Instant-Gaming is very popular in France. The site seems to be trusted (having verified FB page along with many Twitter followers), but I myself haven't used it so can't assure you..

Ok, thanks for the info. Apparently they are also in some sort of partnership with Eurogamer, but the way they have to verify your ID is really fishy. :(

Great article man. Lots of interesting deals in there. There is also Mirror's edge for 2.5 euros (great value imo) and nazi zombie trilogy for around 13. I would get both but Steam still wont accept my Greek card -.-

At this point the capital controls have been lifted from Greece and now its up to the sellers to decide if they accept the cards or not. Steam doesnt and neither do a bunch of other big stores. The only exceptions I have found so far were Google Play and G2A whose reliability is debatable..

Pathetic and meaningless too... This is perfectly real, normal and legally earned money... I dont see why they wont accept it... Oh well...

Sucks. What about Steam top-up cards, can you get them near you? Can buy them with cash in shops then. You've probably already thought of all this stuff though...

Yeah... Steam pre-paid cards never existed here to begin with. There was another kind called Paysafe which was accepted by Steam but during the capital controls they stopped selling in Greece and although they said they are coming back now I think they havent yet. Its going to be a temporary solution when they do but still quite the hassle compared to just logging in with paypal and done. So.. patience it is I guess :P.

Can't you use Paypal?

Nope. Steam detects that the money is coming from the forbidden greek card and rejetcts the payment. But there may be a work around. Sending money from a secondary Paypal account (using my card) to my main one which will be added as account balance (all transactions within Greece work) and maybe so that paypal pays steam with that money (whose source it cant know) instead of the debit. I have yet to try that. I will during the weekend if I get the time.

ROFL! I just tried that and it actually worked! I just bought the zombie army trilogy :DDD. The only disadvantage is that I have to pay a -1 euro fee to send the money from one account to the other but its a small sacrifice compared to not being able to buy anything.
