Nathan Drake Meets His Match In Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End Trailer

Such is my level of hype for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at this stage, that I would hoover up just about little tidbits thrown my way by Naughty Dog. Which is why I was all too pleased to see a lovely, albeit brief, cinematic trailer arrive for Nate’s latest globe-trotting jaunt.

Drake’s stumbled straight into a deadly date here, bumping into series newcomer Nadine Ross as he leaves his room. She’s a dab hand at fisticuffs, and more than a match for Nathan Drake’s brawling prowess it seems.

The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta is live this weekend if you’ve got yourself a copy of The Nathan Drake Collection. Failing that, the game itself is out on March 18th, which is only around 12 weeks away. Hype intensifying.

I thought these were the games with the crazy cinematics, that looked like a clunky resident evil cut scene. Is this an underwhelming scene or do the uncharted games all look like this?

Yea the graphics look poor on this one. Idk if its maybe recorded off a screen or something but the quality is poor compared to the official uncharted 4 trailer. Who knows.

Naughty Gods showing off as usual. Nothing new to see here except, well, Uncharted 4 looks amazing both visually and through animation, voice acting, facial expressions, interactions and oh so much more..

Ahh, Naughty Dog, the biggest reason that one day I will have to give in and buy myself a PS4, they're easily in the top 5 game devs out there.

That and Gran Turismo are pretty much the only reason i bought a ps3. Now its ps4 time. And bluray player.

Yes, Gran Turismo used to be quite a large driving force (see what I did there) for me to get a sony console but I feel they've slowly declined as the series has gone on and others have gotten so much better that I'm all GT'd out I think.

Just bought an r9 390, now i gotta save up for the uncharted collection and uncharted 4. Plus i can always use the PS4 as a region B bluray player as my ps3 is region A so its a win win for me haha.

They achieved those graphics with a modified HD7870. Now imagine what they can do with a GTX980ti or two. I hope this comparison makes everyone realise why exclusives are evil.

I agree, but I doubt the game would look much better on multiplatform, since Naughty Dog has one specification to work with, they can push the limits of that machine, the only difference would probably be FPS and lighting/Shadows.

This is the very reason why games should be made for pc then they should be downgraded for consoles. Otherwise you can't use the full potential of pc.

I completely agree, but with so many different system configs, the devs would still have to cater to the lowest denominator, which is consoles and also low end PCs. With DX12 coming soon to games, will make it interesting, we should see a bump in graphics for the same reqs.

And once DX12 games come out, then we will see if Nvidia really does have "Full" DX12 capabilities, if not I will be the first in line to return mine and live with my ol' 7870XT till HBM V2 cards.

I am sure GTX980ti would still be stronger than any AMD GPU atm.

Well not in Oxide's early benchmark of Starswarm in DX12 where the 290x is on par with a 980ti. The game is early access so I'm gonna wait for a fully released game with DX12.

The guys at Naughty Dog where always tech wizards. When I first saw The Last of Us on the PS3 I though it was next-gen! Silly impressionable me! :))

Can't wait to see how they improve on UC4 with their next PS4 games and, in a few years, PS5. UC4 already looks amazing as is.
