Assassin’s Creed DLC isn’t usually all that big of a draw for me once I’ve exhausted the base game, but consider me intrigued by the Jack the Ripper add-on content coming to AC Syndicate. Ubisoft’s announced the mini expansion is going to be out next week, with players stepping into the shoes of Evie Frye once more, twenty years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. She’s out to stop the world’s most infamous serial killer as he enacts his reign of terror in Whitechapel.
From the sounds of it the DLC is proper campaign, presumably set entirely within a few small, redone boroughs of London. Ubisoft is obviously taking a few liberties with the historical authenticity here, with the trailer hinting the notorious Jack could perhaps be someone Evie knows personally. Don’t worry, they haven’t gone too far and put a face to the name, he’s got a creepy pillowcase over his head.
It looks very promising so I’m definitely down with giving it a go. This DLC certainly stands out from the rest of the content on offer in the Season Pass, so it may well be worthing picking up on its own for $14.99, rather than splashing out for the entire $29.99 Season Pass. The rest of the pass looks like some filler missions and new weapons and skins, so your mileage is going to vary with that.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate - Jack the Ripper will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on December 15th, before arriving for PC on December 22nd.
