We’ve had the Global Game Awards giving us a consensus on your games of the year, but now it’s time to find out what you all think on an individual level. Between us all we’ve likely played thousands of games, from brand new blockbusters to mining gaming’s past, so what games have made 2015 special for you?
For me personally this just been one of the best gaming years in recent memory. The list of amazing titles absolutely stomps all over the last few years. I mean, 2014 saw Shadow of Mordor win countless Game of the Year awards. I couldn’t see that being anywhere near my top 10 if it came out this year.
Rather than opt for one I’m going to go for three, in no particular order, as settling on one is proving a little too difficult.
Rainbow Six Siege
I didn’t expect to get as sucked into Rainbow Six Siege as much as I have, but it’s got its claws in me in a big way, and I don’t see it changing any time soon. There’s a bit of ugliness when it comes to shoving micro-transactions in your face, but the core gameplay is great enough to paper over the cracks. There really isn’t anything out there’s matched the intensity of excitement of Rainbow Six Siege for me, and it’s kept me coming back bleary eyed until the wee hours of the morning.
Life is Strange
There’s not much left to say about Life is Strange other than Dontnod really blew me away with the quality of the storytelling on offer here. It felt both really unique and a throwback to some of my favourite TV shows like Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone. The ending might not have been to everyone’s tastes, but the journey there left me enraptured.
The Witcher 3
What game of the year list would be complete without The Witcher 3? I think it’s easily the longest game I’ve ever competed, and it’s testament to its quality that it hooked me from beginning to end. The storytelling is on another level compared to other open-world games, and it really makes it a bit difficult to go back to the Bethesda style once you’ve seen what’s possible. All that’s left now is to count down the days until Cyberpunk 2077.
Honourable mentions to MGS V: The Phantom Pain, Splatoon, Until Dawn and SOMA also. It was a close call and in any other year they’d be right up there.
Over to you now then, what was your game/s of the year? Anything in particular that stood head and shoulders above the rest? Let us know!

The Witcher 3 by far,CDPR simply made a masterpiece.I also still enjoy GTA V pc,the beautiful wasteland of fallout 4 and nba 2k16
PC Specs
Playing the Eastern Roman faction, Total War Atilla. Absolutely love this campaign. I like the Witcher too but too much dialogue, way too much.
PC Specs
my vote for GTA 5 pc
PC Specs
I have to say my game of 2015 is either Elite Dangerous (not sure if that could be classed as it came out very late december 2014) or mad max both are great games and I don't care if anyone disagrees with me.
PC Specs
I know I might get hate but my favorite game for this year was Killing Floor 2 and it is not even fully finished yet. I have 532 hours in that game. I just love the community in Killing Floor 2 and the teamwork. My second favorite game has to be Fallout 4 then MGS V. So hard to choose but Id say even if its Early Access Killing Floor 2 was my fav for 2015
PC Specs
I'm going to go mainstream and say The Witcher 3. I simply loved it.
MGSV: TPP made the phantom pain come to life. For some reason, it felt as if I could actually relate to the story. Kaz was my favorite.
I also enjoyed playing GTA V and AC Syndicate.
A great year overall!

Life is strange

Just because it's 2015 i'd say GTAV.

From the above Life is Strange is my GOTY. But overall DiRT Rally takes it.

Anything else than TW3, most overrated game of all times. -.-
Even FO4 ist so overrated.
It like most of you are brainwashed with TW3, come on guys, really. -.-
I have to avoid GD and others if HL3 comes out, will beat TW3 in overrating.
PC Specs
How do you find out if a game is overrated? Quite simple, You sum up all the content, features etc of the game, in this case, The Witcher 3, is not overrated, perhaps you mean something different. There are two types of fans
Yes, there are too many number 1s(I'm one myself) , That might mean the game is overrated, In this case, idk
PC Specs
IMO, TW3 is not overrated at all. I would go as far as saying it's one of the best games I ever played, and I don't even like RPGs that much. All RPG fans loved DA:O, but I didn't. That is how good TW3 is.
PC Specs
I knew i would get downwotes, lol.
Cause you cant accept what i said.
Its overrated.
There are better games that dont get so much attention as witcher, hype hype hype, its annoying.
Come on people, chill out, game is good at best.
PC Specs
Just explain why you find it overrated and this will make your post much more interesting to read, and you might even get upvotes if people understand your point of view :)
PC Specs
Some people just wanna get attention real bad that he dont care people would bashing him/her.
PC Specs
I just downvoted your post because I disagreed. That's what downvoting is for. If you were talking about GD reputation, then I would have to agree that downvoting is unnecessary.
PC Specs
Explain why it is overrated and maybe you would not be downvoted as much. Also while you are at it, name the best game of the year that would beat the witcher 3.
PC Specs
I personally think life is strange is over rated, and enjoyed until dawn way more. But hey opinions are opinions.
PC Specs
SOMA, definitely the best game this year! We need more brilliant games with great story and atmosphere, and less repetitive generic open world trash. Quality over quantity boys! Then Witcher 3.
PC Specs
GTA V PC for me. I am disappointed with life is strange's ending.
PC Specs
Witcher 3 it can't be beaten by any game in terms of quality story telling & tons of gameplay content.
PC Specs
Life is Strange ɛ
PC Specs
Tw3
PC Specs
TW3 of course. I still playing it, NG+ with the first Expansion. The expansion quest still pending, I'm stuck in Skellige with tons of quest.
PC Specs
Same here...
Witcher 3 gets it
PC Specs
Fallout 4 was kind of disappointing IMO. Probably because I just went from playing the older games to Fallout 4. The game has a simpler chat, wouldn't really call it an RPG anymore. There is sometimes no choice to not kill someone (You didn't even have to kill the final boss in fallout new vegas). I found fallout 4 less about role playing.
PC Specs
Oddly enough, nothing came out that I found worthy of my Game of the Year. And yes, I have played Fallout 4.
PC Specs
witcher 3 for me... i almost cry when vesimir died... and BTW, Ciri mentioned she was transported to a world with metal faces and flying mounts (on the "ISLE OF MIST")... is she referring to Cyberpunk 2077?.. hmmm... naaahhh... guess not...
PC Specs
Fallout goes second for me because of those loading screen (and time)... it really takes me off the game, really... though it was very good game nonetheless...
PC Specs
Wow spoiler much
PC Specs
ooofffff... sorry...
PC Specs
hey wtf. i just started playing it. now i have to keep in mind to not look in the comment section :'(
PC Specs
I still think that was a solid reference. We may encounter Ciri as an easter egg in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Witcher 3 Hands Down!
