Quantum Break Windows 10 System Requirements Updated

System Requirements Optimum 1080p PC Build Low vs Ultra Screenshots GPU Performance Chart CPU List That Meet System Requirements GPU List That Meet System Requirements

The Quantum Break system requirements were revealed yesterday and definitely something to behold, and it seems that Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment realise how truly demanding the game appeared on recommended specs. With this in mind, they have altered the requirements on the official Remedy site to offer a new tier above recommended called Ultra.

The new middle tier is definitely nothing to be sniffed at, with a recommended clock speed of 3.9ghz on an Intel Core i5 4690 which is still considered a fairly high end CPU compared to what AAA titles have traditionally expected. Remedy are sticking to their initial estimate of 16gb of RAM which seems to slowly be becoming the norm for AAA titles on PC. Check out the full Quantum Break Windows 10 System Requirements update.

Quantum Break Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 2.7 GHz or AMD FX-6300
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon R7 260x
  • HDD: 55 GB Available Space
  • DX: DirectX 12

Quantum Break Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.9 GHz or AMD equivalent
  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 4 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 390
  • HDD: 55 GB Available Space
  • DX: DirectX 12

Quantum Break Ultra System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 4.0 GHz or AMD equivalent
  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 6 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 980 Ti or Radeon R9 Fury X
  • HDD: 55 GB Available Space
  • DX: DirectX 12

Here's an image of the latest system requirements for Quantum Break, which now have the recommended list showing a new set of hardware, sitting snugly in between the high end and low end of what was previously suggested.

It's no doubt that the shifting of the ridiculously high recommended specs to a different Ultra setting is a smart marketing ploy on the behalf of Microsoft, as they are suggesting that gamers lacking such a powerful machine to run the game on ultra can still enjoy the time-bending, psychedelic sci-fi shooter with an acceptable performance.

The game does look really gorgeous and the craziness of how the world moves around you deserves every inch of performance. If you're interested in Quantum Break, come and leave a comment below with your reactions to these latest system requirements and whether you think the game deserves such expensive hardware.

On the res you are playing you will be fine :) Maybe a little GPU overclock and that's it :)
You will be able to play games , not all maxed out but on descent settings and with descent fps :) I am the one that should be worrying xD

yeah they are, especially when bringing games from console to PC . The optimization is pretty bad most of the times. The mostly care about money and now since there is no more piracy for at least a year , it will get even worse ! :|

Yeah..
I'm gonna buying a new nvidia pascal GPU when it comes.
And now Microsoft pushes it's Win 10 update forcefully to Win 7 users.
I think it's MS strategy to gain more and more attention to it's DX12..

Well it could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how the W10+DX12 combo works. things will clear up after the game is released
but on the other hand there is no way to compare performance since the game cannot be played on DX 11 or at least another OS :| It's a one way road. The only thing that could decide is how the actual game performs.

For me this game is insane only for windows 10 users and a super high system requirement I guess this game is not for poor gamer like me. I wish they create a game that we poor gamers can play. Even in 20 fps and the most lower possible setting I am happy about that at least I will able to play it.

I don't get what people are upset about. The minimum cpus are 4 (AMD) and 2 (Intel) while the gpus are 3 years old.
The requirements say that if you want better graphics, you need newer, better hardware.
At no point is there a rule that they need to have ultra requirements be on 4 year old hardware so everyone can run it like that.
They aren't letting the XBox1 dictate the requirements.
I guess if it were then people would still be upset.

Simple. It was made for xbox.It is not being rewritten for pc,if it can run on xbox then it should easily run ultra on relatively many times powerful pc systems.

A weak xbox wont be able to handle it anywhere near remotely as well as a pc will. 1 xbox wil prob be stuck at 900/30 while pc can do 1440/144 and 2160/60. The recommended ones are more then likely for high at 1080/60. An xbox wont even come close to that So no an xbox cant handle it.

Everyone though that dx12 was going to offer the same graphics as dx11 but with lower requirements...and that's possibly true. All depends on the developer.
The flip side would also be true then....that they can use higher end hardware and get way better results.
Plus they are probably pushing the newest hardware as far as they can to show what dx12 is capable of. That what happens when ms is the publisher and willing to shell out the extra cash.

Yes, and unfortunately it will be more of the same. Requirements will rise up because DX12 open up a chance for developers to use better hardware to get the better results.

Nope just means that connection between cpu and gpu will be faster, not necessarily less demanding. If the requirements are this high and its optimized this might end up being one of the best looking games on PC ever.

We haven't even seen any PC gameplay yet, how can you judge what it looks like if you haven't seen it yet? Ryse: Son of Rome and Rise of the Tomb Raider look immensely better on PC. We can at this point only imagine what it will look like.

Still pretty high, but more manageable for those with less powerful systems. If you have a 970 and an i5 you are playing better than the Xbox 1. Hell even the minimum will probably net you slightly better visuals/experience.
