Free games! Everyone loves free stuff, don’t they? I do anyway, apart from that one time I got a free copy of the original Assassin’s Creed. Still, it made a good coaster, so I can't complain. And if you free stuff’s your bag, then SEGA is giving away not one, not two, but three games from its catalogue free of charge.
No, it’s not Total War: Warhammer, more’s the pity, but there are a couple of classics and one not-so-classic. It’s part of SEGA’s Make War Not Love event, and this is just the first prize bundle, so there’s the promise of more to come, including a free Total War: Attila expansion. The bona fide great of the bundle is Jet Set Radio, so who can so no to a free copy of this insane skating game. Finally, I can throw my Dreamcast out in the trash. The only way is down from here, but there’s two more free games to while away some free time.
The first of these is the original Golden Axe. This launched way back in 1989, so this one’s looking like a wrinkly old relic. I had run through of this back with the Sega Genesis Collection and it’s every bit as basic as you expect / remembered, but it’s fun for a bit of a beatdown.
Then finally there’s the most modern game of the bunch - Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. I played this a while back on PlayStation Plus and it’s a pretty decent, if a little hectic, 2D platformer. It also comes with two sets of DLC thrown into the bargain.
The grand total of savings sits at £22.64, so you can’t really argue this. It’s a nice +3 to your Steam library count, even if the majority of us will never get around to playing them. Make it snappy if you want them though, this deal's only available for today.
