When a number of the key Burnout developers announced it was working on Dangerous Golf, it sounded remarkably like Burnout’s notorious Crash mode. Now the very first trailer is out - substitute a two-ton truck for a golf club and ball, and swap busy intersections for totally destructible environments, and you’re essentially there. It is Burnout Crash in a different form.

Basically every single thing in the room is totally destructible, with plates smashing, tomatoes squishing and hamburgers flying. In Dangerous Golf the aim is to cause as much damage as possible in between hitting the ball and getting it in the hole. It’s even got that time-slowing effect after you strike the golf ball where you can alter its direction slightly mid-flight.

Just like Burnout was driving with all the boring bits stripped out, so too does Dangerous Golf look like golf with, well, the golf stripped out. Can’t say fairer than that.

Dangerous Golf is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June this year.

Dissapointed.. The ball doesn't set everything that it touches on fire
